因为时候要到，人必厌烦纯正的道理，耳朵发痒，就随从自己的情欲，增添好些师傅，

因为时候将到，那时人会厌烦健全的教导，耳朵发痒，就随心所欲地增添好些教师，

因为有一天，人们会厌倦纯正的教导，耳朵发痒，寻找许多迎合他们私欲的老师。

因为时候将到，人们容忍不了健全的教义，反要顺着自己的欲望，为自己的耳朵能被呵痒得舒服，去召聚许多教师。

因為時候要到，人必厭煩純正的道理，耳朵發癢，就隨從自己的情慾增添好些師傅，

因為時候將到，那時人會厭煩健全的教導，耳朵發癢，就隨心所欲地增添好些教師，

因為時候將到，那時人會厭煩健全的教導，耳朵發癢，就隨心所欲地增添好些教師，

因為有一天，人們會厭倦純正的教導，耳朵發癢，尋找許多迎合他們私慾的老師。

因為時候快要到了，人必容不下純正的道理，反而耳朵發癢，隨著自己的私慾，增添許多教師，

因為時候必到，人必不容忍健全的教義，反而耳朵發癢，順着自己的私慾給自己堆積許多教師來，

因為時候將到，人們容忍不了健全的教義，反要順著自己的欲望，為自己的耳朵能被呵癢得舒服，去召聚許多教師。

蓋時至、人將不容正教、因其耳癢而徇己慾、多集厥師、

蓋其後、人必厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之談、狥嗜欲、多其師、

蓋後必有人厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之言、狥私慾而多增其師、

蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

The time will come when people won’t put up with true teaching. Instead, they will try to satisfy their own desires. They will gather a large number of teachers around them. The teachers will say what the people want to hear.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear.

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.

For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,

But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of.And in covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose sentence now from of old lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.

But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come.For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self- control, fierce, no lovers of good,traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof: from these also turn away.For of these are they that creep into houses, and take captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts,

But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them that believe and know the truth.

for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.

So then am I become your enemy, by telling you the truth?

Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.And I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Jehovah.They say continually unto them that despise me, Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace; and unto every one that walketh in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come upon you.

the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, am left a prophet of Jehovah; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of Jehovah, so that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken Jehovah, he hath also forsaken you.And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of Jehovah.Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, Jehovah look upon it, and require it.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.

And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

Wherefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, who said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of thy hand?And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Have we made thee of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is confounded and withereth away; Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves.Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted.Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire that shall devour you.

But because I say the truth, ye believe me not.

And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he spake this parable against them.

But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Let not your prophets that are in the midst of you, and your diviners, deceive you; neither hearken ye to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth- gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah, Micaiah the son of Imlah: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

Then Amaziah the priest of Beth- el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thou away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:but prophesy not again any more at Beth- el; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house.Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a dresser of sycomore- trees:and Jehovah took me from following the flock, and Jehovah said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.Now therefore hear thou the word of Jehovah: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac;therefore thus saith Jehovah: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?

For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in the prison- house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
