For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

to Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the assembly that is in his house.

I had no relief for my spirit, because I didn’t find Titus, my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.

For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thanks be to God, who puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus.

Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

So we urged Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace.

But all this has happened that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.

forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was proclaimed by Paul at Beroea also, they came there likewise, agitating the multitudes.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

Another also said,“ I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good- bye to those who are at my house.”But Jesus said to him,“ No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.”

Having spent some time there, he departed, and went through the region of Galatia, and Phrygia, in order, establishing all the disciples.
