Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all[ men] forsook me:[ I pray God] that it may not be laid to their charge.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world,[ even] our faith.Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

To Titus,[ mine] own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy,[ and] peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thanks[ be] to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Remember Lot’s wife.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with[ me] also.And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam[ the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

And after he had spent some time[ there], he departed, and went over[ all] the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
