昔雅尼佯比利敵摩西、此等人、亦如是敵真理、其人壞心術、見絕於聖道、見絕於聖道或作於主道被擯者

若輩心術已壞、喪失信德、反抗真道、正如昔日亞乃芒伯之反抗摩西也。

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.

Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. In the same way, the teachers I’m talking about oppose the truth. Their minds are twisted. As far as the faith is concerned, God doesn’t accept them.

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.

These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith.

And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people– who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith– also oppose the truth.

constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers. They also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same thing with their enchantments.

But Elymas the sorcerer( for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him,and said,“ You son of the devil, full of all deceit and all cunning, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

They profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

But I have this against you, that you tolerate your woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying,‘ You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;

Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don’t you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?— unless indeed you are disqualified.But I hope that you will know that we aren’t disqualified.

But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles.And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

The magicians tried with their enchantments to produce lice, but they couldn’t. There were lice on man, and on animal.

but there isn’t another“ good news.” Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any“ good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any“ good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.So you also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise.

You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart isn’t right before God.Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

The magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.

through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron,

This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage,to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.

May Yahweh do so. May Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all those who are captives, from Babylon to this place.Nevertheless listen now to this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people:The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, of evil, and of pestilence.The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.”Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it.Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying,“ Yahweh says:‘ Even so I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from off the neck of all the nations within two full years.’” Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way.Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,“ Go, and tell Hananiah, saying,‘ Yahweh says,“ You have broken the bars of wood, but you have made in their place bars of iron.”For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,“ I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. I have also given him the animals of the field.”’”Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! Yahweh has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.Therefore Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth. This year you will die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.’”So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
