天良泯滅、結怨不解、譖人不輟、沉湎無度、兇暴不馴、疾善如讎、

senseless, covenant- breakers, heartless, ruthless.

For they said to you,“ In the end time there will come scoffers, propelled by their own ungodly desires.”

Likewise also their wives must be dignified, not slanderous, temperate, faithful in every respect.

Above all, understand this: In the last days blatant scoffers will come, being propelled by their own evil urges

Their eyes, full of adultery, never stop sinning; they entice unstable people. They have trained their hearts for greed, these cursed children!

These people are grumblers and fault- finders who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.

Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce, and their fury, for it was cruel. I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel!

But I am a worm, not a man; people insult me and despise me.

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of those who testified to Jesus. I was greatly astounded when I saw her.

But if they do not have self- control, let them get married. For it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire.

Do not deprive each other, except by mutual agreement for a specified time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then resume your relationship, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self- control.

Instead he must be hospitable, devoted to what is good, sensible, upright, devout, and self- controlled.

Jesus replied,“ Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is the devil?”

Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

The children of your oppressors will come bowing to you; all who treated you with disrespect will bow down at your feet. They will call you,‘ The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.’

Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts are complete, a rash and deceitful king will arise.

because they poured out the blood of your saints and prophets, so you have given them blood to drink. They got what they deserved!”

During David’s reign there was a famine for three consecutive years. So David inquired of the LORD. The LORD said,“ It is because of Saul and his bloodstained family, because he murdered the Gibeonites.”So the king summoned the Gibeonites and spoke with them.( Now the Gibeonites were not descendants of Israel; they were a remnant of the Amorites. The Israelites had made a promise to them, but Saul tried to kill them because of his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah.)David said to the Gibeonites,“ What can I do for you, and how can I make amends so that you will bless the LORD’s inheritance?”

“ The one who listens to you listens to me, and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

Although these false teachers promise such people freedom, they themselves are enslaved to immorality. For whatever a person succumbs to, to that he is enslaved.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

He despises a reprobate, but honors the LORD’s loyal followers. He makes firm commitments and does not renege on his promise.

But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?

“ Brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against parents and have them put to death.

The Pharisees( who loved money) heard all this and ridiculed him.

Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.

He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

But this one from Israel’s royal family rebelled against the king of Babylon by sending his emissaries to Egypt to obtain horses and a large army. Will he prosper? Will the one doing these things escape? Can he break the covenant and escape?“‘ As surely as I live, declares the sovereign LORD, surely in the city of the king who crowned him, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke– in the middle of Babylon he will die!Pharaoh with his great army and mighty horde will not help him in battle, when siege ramps are erected and siege-walls are built to kill many people.He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Take note– he gave his promise and did all these things– he will not escape!“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, I will certainly repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant!

Thus no one was allowed to buy or sell things unless he bore the mark of the beast– that is, his name or his number.

The second beast was empowered to give life to the image of the first beast so that it could speak, and could cause all those who did not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
