So we have the prophetic word strongly confirmed. You will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.First of all, you should know this: No prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation,because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told them,“ Are you not deceived because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God?

The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the command of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up.The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are reliable and altogether righteous.They are more desirable than gold— than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey, which comes from the honeycomb.In addition, Your servant is warned by them; there is great reward in keeping them.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping Your word.

Proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching.

For a command is a lamp, teaching is a light, and corrective discipline is the way to life.

I have treasured Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You.

How I love Your instruction! It is my meditation all day long.Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me.I have more insight than all my teachers because Your decrees are my meditation.I understand more than the elders because I obey Your precepts.I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow Your word.I have not turned from Your judgments, for You Yourself have instructed me.How sweet Your word is to my taste— sweeter than honey in my mouth.I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.

The revelation of Your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.

The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me, His word was on my tongue.

instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth.

One who listens to life-giving rebukes will be at home among the wise.

He let you hear His voice from heaven to instruct you. He showed you His great fire on earth, and you heard His words from the fire.

For everyone who practices wicked things hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed.

And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head— Christ.From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.

“ Therefore,” He said to them,“ every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

an instructor of the ignorant, a teacher of the immature, having the full expression of knowledge and truth in the law—

and that I did not shrink back from proclaiming to you anything that was profitable or from teaching it to you in public and from house to house.
