人苟能滌垢蕩瑕、澡身浴德、則必得成為高尚之器、既聖且潔、必蒙其主大用、以成善工。

人若自洁，脱离卑贱的事，就必作贵重的器皿，成为圣洁，合乎主用，预备行各样的善事。

所以，如果有人潔淨自己脫離卑賤的事，他就會成為貴重的器皿，被分別為聖，對主人有用，而且是為著一切美善的工作所預備好的。

人若棄此而潔己、則為貴用之器、清潔而適主用、備諸善工、

若人潔己去私、則成貴重之器、皭然適乎主用、備諸善行、

人若潔己而去此可賤者、則為貴用之器、聖潔合乎主用、以備作種種善事、

Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

So if anyone purifies himself from anything dishonorable, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be an implement for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, meet for the master’s use, prepared unto every good work.

So if anyone purifies himself from anything dishonorable, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

是在天主之徒奮發自勵、孳孳為善、以臻才德全備之地耳。

即吾人本身亦莫非天主之化工、藉基督耶穌為行善而締造。然則吾人之行善、乃天主之成命耳。

親愛之兄弟乎、吾人既承此恩諾、亟應蕩穢滌污、務求心跡雙清、戰戰兢兢、敬事天主、以臻聖德純全之域也。

今者爾之靈魂、已因服膺聖道而致潔矣；應能身體誠實無妄之愛德也。務望一秉赤誠、彼此相愛。

凡向天父懷此望德者、亦必努力自致聖潔、以期克配聖潔之天父也。

嗟爾青年。何以潔身。其惟立志。聖訓是遵。

此言也、真實無妄。願爾以此事切實講明、務使信奉天主之人、兢兢業業、為善毋懈。此事也、盡善盡美、裨益人群。

雖然、同一大宅之中、固有金銀之器、亦有木器瓦器；或為貴器、或為賤器。

爾須徹底澄清舊酵俾爾得成新飥、一如爾因聖洗而成無酵之餅。蓋吾人之免難羔羊基督之自獻、即欲為吾人清除舊酵耳。

然此乃所以鍛鍊爾之信德、而於耶穌基督顯現之日、玉成爾之光榮及天爵耳。夫黃金乃必朽之物、尚且以火煉之；而信德固貴於黃金也。

望汝提醒眾人、務宜順服官長有司從命如流、奉行百善、

主曰：『第往、斯人乃吾特選之器、將以吾名播諸異族與列王、以及義塞子孫。

凡我同人皆當致力於善濟人之急、庶免虛偽無實。
