You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

予在眾證人前所傳授於爾之事、爾亦當傳授於忠實之信徒、令彼亦得轉以傳人。

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

You have heard me teach in front of many witnesses. Pass on to people you can trust the things you’ve heard me say. Then they will be able to teach others also.

and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

And entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.

The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me— a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus.Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.

If you explain these things to the brothers and sisters, Timothy, you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is nourished by the message of faith and the good teaching you have followed.

Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.

I left you on the island of Crete so you could complete our work there and appoint elders in each town as I instructed you.An elder must live a blameless life. He must be faithful to his wife, and his children must be believers who don’t have a reputation for being wild or rebellious.A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.Rather, he must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must love what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He must live a devout and disciplined life.He must have a strong belief in the trustworthy message he was taught; then he will be able to encourage others with wholesome teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong.

“ The words of a priest’s lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should go to him for instruction, for the priest is the messenger of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ Let these false prophets tell their dreams, but let my true messengers faithfully proclaim my every word. There is a difference between straw and grain!

But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.

“ And you, Ezra, are to use the wisdom your God has given you to appoint magistrates and judges who know your God’s laws to govern all the people in the province west of the Euphrates River. Teach the law to anyone who does not know it.

Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles.

“ If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

And the Lord replied,“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

An unreliable messenger stumbles into trouble, but a reliable messenger brings healing.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him,

“ Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever.

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.

This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the prophecy spoken over you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you.

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.“ Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. Whoever is victorious will not be harmed by the second death.“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Pergamum. This is the message from the one with the sharp two edged sword:“ I know that you live in the city where Satan has his throne, yet you have remained loyal to me. You refused to deny me even when Antipas, my faithful witness, was martyred among you there in Satan’s city.

You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.

I gave the responsibility of governing Jerusalem to my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah, the commander of the fortress, for he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.

So a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, not quarrelsome, and not love money.He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him.For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?A church leader must not be a new believer, because he might become proud, and the devil would cause him to fall.Also, people outside the church must speak well of him so that he will not be disgraced and fall into the devil’s trap.In the same way, deacons must be well respected and have integrity. They must not be heavy drinkers or dishonest with money.They must be committed to the mystery of the faith now revealed and must live with a clear conscience.

Then he added,“ Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.”

For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entire house.But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself.

See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.

But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust.

Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.

Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
