What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

予在眾證人前所傳授於爾之事、爾亦當傳授於忠實之信徒、令彼亦得轉以傳人。

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

You have heard me teach in front of many witnesses. Pass on to people you can trust the things you’ve heard me say. Then they will be able to teach others also.

and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

And entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.

The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.Guard the good deposit through the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of eternal life to which you were called and about which you have made a good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone and, as I directed you, to appoint elders in every town.An elder must be blameless, the husband of one wife, with faithful children who are not accused of wildness or rebellion.As an overseer of God’s household, he must be blameless, not arrogant, not hot-tempered, not an excessive drinker, not a bully, not greedy for money,but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, righteous, holy, self-controlled,holding to the faithful message as taught, so that he will be able both to encourage with sound teaching and to refute those who contradict it.

For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should desire instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the LORD of Armies.

Now Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the LORD, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.

You learned this from Epaphras, our dearly loved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf,

Then I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, along with Hananiah, commander of the fortress, because he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.

An overseer, therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,not an excessive drinker, not a bully but gentle, not quarrelsome, not greedy.He must manage his own household competently and have his children under control with all dignity.( If anyone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of God’s church?)He must not be a new convert, or he might become conceited and incur the same condemnation as the devil.Furthermore, he must have a good reputation among outsiders, so that he does not fall into disgrace and the devil’s trap.Deacons, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not hypocritical, not drinking a lot of wine, not greedy for money,holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.

“ Therefore,” he said to them,“ every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom treasures new and old.”

He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was in all God’s household.For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.

Take note: I have told you in advance.

Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my household.

Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Don’t be too quick to appoint anyone as an elder, and don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
