For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear Jehovah, and depart from evil:

For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked shall perish.

Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever.

Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.Be not ye therefore partakers with them;For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light( for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),proving what is well- pleasing unto the Lord;and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.

from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man’s foundation;

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

They that trust in Jehovah Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore.

When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more; But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;

God did not cast off his people which he foreknew. Or know ye not what the scripture saith of Elijah? how he pleadeth with God against Israel:

And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is life indeed.

and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth;who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith Jehovah, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith Jehovah of hosts.

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name:

For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; upon one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
