因此，我為了選民忍受一切，好叫他們也可以得著在基督耶穌裡的救恩，和永遠的榮耀。

故我因選民而忍諸難、使於基督耶穌而得拯救、並得永榮、

我為選民忍難、使彼賴基督耶穌得救、永與厥榮、

故我為蒙選者忍受諸難、使彼亦因基督耶穌得救、並得永存之榮、

予之忍受一切、實為選民之故、欲使其恃基督耶穌以邀天恩、而承無疆之休。

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

So I put up with everything for the good of God’s chosen people. Then they also can be saved. Christ Jesus saves them. He gives them glory that will last forever.

現在我為你們受苦，我覺得喜樂；為了基督的身體，就是為了教會，我要在自己的肉身上，補滿基督苦難的不足。

但滿有恩典的神，就是在基督裡召你們進入他永遠榮耀的那一位，在你們受了短暫的苦難之後，必定親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們，建立你們。

因為我們短暫輕微的患難，是要為我們成就極大無比、永遠的榮耀。

如果我們遭遇患難，那是要使你們得著安慰，得著拯救；如果我們得到安慰，也是要使你們得到安慰。這安慰使你們能夠忍受我們所受那樣的痛苦。

你應當和我同受磨難，好像基督耶穌的精兵。

因為神不是定意要我們受刑罰（“刑罰”原文作“忿怒”），而是要我們藉著我們的主耶穌基督得著救恩。

因此，我懇求你們，不要因著我為你們所受的苦難而沮喪，這原是你們的光榮。

我從前是褻瀆神的、迫害人的、凌辱人的，然而我還蒙了憐憫，因為我是在不信的時候，由於無知而作的。我們主的恩典，隨著在基督耶穌裡的信心和愛心，在我身上越發增加。

我為他們求；我不為世人求，而是為你賜給我的人求，因為他們是你的。

為了要使他豐盛的榮耀，彰顯在那蒙恩、早已預備要得榮耀的器皿上，這又有甚麼不可呢？

父啊，我在哪裡，願你賜給我的人也和我同在哪裡，讓他們看見你賜給我的榮耀，因為在創立世界以前，你已經愛我了。

這一切都是為了你們，好使恩惠既然因著許多人而增多，感恩的心也更加增多了，使榮耀歸給神。

當號筒發出響聲，他要差派使者，把他的選民從四方，從天這邊到天那邊都招聚來。

“你們從前不是子民，現在卻是神的子民；從前未蒙憐恤，現在卻蒙了憐恤。”

以永生報答那些耐心行善、尋求榮耀尊貴和不朽的人，

神願意使他們知道這奧祕在外族人中有多麼榮耀的豐盛，這奧祕就是基督在你們裡面成了榮耀的盼望。

不但替猶太民族死，也要把散居各地的神的兒女招聚成為一體。

因此，神藉著我們所傳的福音呼召你們，使你們得著我們主耶穌基督的榮耀。

因為必有假基督和假先知出現，顯大神蹟和奇事；如果可以的話，他們連選民也要迷惑。

對軟弱的人，我就成了軟弱的人，為了要得著軟弱的人。對怎麼樣的人，我就作怎麼樣的人；無論如何，總要救一些人。

如果那些日子不減少，沒有一個人可以存活；但是為了選民，那些日子必會減少。

因為找到我的，就找到生命，他也必得著耶和華的恩惠。
