我為選民忍難、使彼賴基督耶穌得救、永與厥榮、

故我為蒙選者忍受諸難、使彼亦因基督耶穌得救、並得永存之榮、

予之忍受一切、實為選民之故、欲使其恃基督耶穌以邀天恩、而承無疆之休。

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

So I put up with everything for the good of God’s chosen people. Then they also can be saved. Christ Jesus saves them. He gives them glory that will last forever.

现在我为你们受苦，我觉得喜乐；为了基督的身体，就是为了教会，我要在自己的肉身上，补满基督苦难的不足。

但满有恩典的神，就是在基督里召你们进入他永远荣耀的那一位，在你们受了短暂的苦难之后，必定亲自成全你们，坚固你们，赐力量给你们，建立你们。

因为我们短暂轻微的患难，是要为我们成就极大无比、永远的荣耀。

如果我们遭遇患难，那是要使你们得着安慰，得着拯救；如果我们得到安慰，也是要使你们得到安慰。这安慰使你们能够忍受我们所受那样的痛苦。

你应当和我同受磨难，好像基督耶稣的精兵。

因为神不是定意要我们受刑罚（“刑罚”原文作“忿怒”），而是要我们藉着我们的主耶稣基督得着救恩。

因此，我恳求你们，不要因着我为你们所受的苦难而沮丧，这原是你们的光荣。

我从前是亵渎神的、迫害人的、凌辱人的，然而我还蒙了怜悯，因为我是在不信的时候，由于无知而作的。我们主的恩典，随着在基督耶稣里的信心和爱心，在我身上越发增加。

我为他们求；我不为世人求，而是为你赐给我的人求，因为他们是你的。

为了要使他丰盛的荣耀，彰显在那蒙恩、早已预备要得荣耀的器皿上，这又有什么不可呢？

父啊，我在哪里，愿你赐给我的人也和我同在哪里，让他们看见你赐给我的荣耀，因为在创立世界以前，你已经爱我了。

这一切都是为了你们，好使恩惠既然因着许多人而增多，感恩的心也更加增多了，使荣耀归给神。

当号筒发出响声，他要差派使者，把他的选民从四方，从天这边到天那边都招聚来。

“你们从前不是子民，现在却是神的子民；从前未蒙怜恤，现在却蒙了怜恤。”

以永生报答那些耐心行善、寻求荣耀尊贵和不朽的人，

神愿意使他们知道这奥秘在外族人中有多么荣耀的丰盛，这奥秘就是基督在你们里面成了荣耀的盼望。

不但替犹太民族死，也要把散居各地的神的儿女招聚成为一体。

因此，神藉着我们所传的福音呼召你们，使你们得着我们主耶稣基督的荣耀。

因为必有假基督和假先知出现，显大神迹和奇事；如果可以的话，他们连选民也要迷惑。

对软弱的人，我就成了软弱的人，为了要得着软弱的人。对怎么样的人，我就作怎么样的人；无论如何，总要救一些人。

如果那些日子不减少，没有一个人可以存活；但是为了选民，那些日子必会减少。

因为找到我的，就找到生命，他也必得着耶和华的恩惠。
