The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day— and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.

願主令蒙矜恤於乃日、彼在以弗所多方事我、爾知之稔矣、

願主恩賜矜恤之、聿至乃日、昔在以弗所、阿尼色弗事我、爾知之矣、

願主使之在彼日蒙主矜恤、其在以弗所殷勤事我、乃爾所知也、

吾願其在大審判日、蒙主慈恩。曩在伊法所時、吾如何承其多方照拂固汝所素稔也。

May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he helped me in Ephesus.

May Onesiphorus find mercy from the Lord on the day Jesus returns as judge! You know very well how many ways Onesiphorus helped me in Ephesus.

may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day!— and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus.

May the Lord show him special kindness on the day of Christ’s return. And you know very well how helpful he was in Ephesus.

May the Lord grant that he obtain mercy from him on that day. You know very well how much he ministered at Ephesus.

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia— remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you;

And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples

Then he cried out to the Lord and said,“ O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?”

Then the King will say to those on His right hand,‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’“ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.

But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost.

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,

and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

For He says to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh,“ For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.You will say to me then,“ Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?”But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it,“ Why have you made me like this?”Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
