予之造次顛沛、備嘗艱辛、亦為此福音而已。然予不以為恥也。無他、予知所仰望者之為誰氏之子、且深信彼之所寄於予者、彼必能保其完整、以待彼日之臨也。

That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

That’s why I’m suffering the way I am. But this gives me no reason to be ashamed. That’s because I know who I have believed in. I am sure he is able to take care of what I have given him. I can trust him with it until the day he returns as judge.

which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.

and that is why I suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until that day.

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

Timothy, protect what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called“ knowledge”—

in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God are to entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.

The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.

Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy,

“ But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord on that day— and you know very well what services he rendered at Ephesus.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

My God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies rejoice over me.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.

“ Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

each one’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work.

for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned.

and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them.But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully accomplished, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was rescued out of the lion’s mouth.

And in His name the Gentiles will hope.”

Into Your hand I entrust my spirit; You have redeemed me, Lord, God of truth.

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,

looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said,“ Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died.

to the end that we who were the first to hope in the Christ would be to the praise of His glory.In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation— having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise,

And He said to me,‘ Go! For I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”They listened to him up to this statement, and then they raised their voices and said,“ Away with such a man from the earth, for he should not be allowed to live!”And as they were shouting and throwing off their cloaks and tossing dust into the air,the commander ordered that he be brought into the barracks, saying that he was to be interrogated by flogging so that he would find out the reason why they were shouting against him that way.

and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

just as it is written:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”

When the seven days were almost over, the Jews from Asia, upon seeing him in the temple, began to stir up all the crowd and laid hands on him,crying out,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who instructs everyone everywhere against our people and the Law and this place; and besides, he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place!”For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they thought that Paul had brought him into the temple.Then the whole city was provoked and the people rushed together, and taking hold of Paul they dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut.While they were intent on killing him, a report came up to the commander of the Roman cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.

But the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their region.

And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to treat them abusively and to stone them,they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region;

For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of youwho through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of everything that He has given Me I will lose nothing, but will raise it up on the last day.For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

For the Lord God helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have made My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.

Then my enemies will turn back on the day when I call; This I know, that God is for me.

Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

Again Isaiah says,“ There shall come the root of Jesse, And He who arises to rule over the Gentiles, In Him will the Gentiles hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many will say to Me on that day,‘ Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the administration of God’s grace which was given to me for you;that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before briefly.By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,which in other generations was not made known to mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name, which You have given Me; and I guarded them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always reach the limit of their sins. But wrath has come upon them fully.

Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said,“ Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you repudiate it and consider yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief;

I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city.

according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
