He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.

Because God’s children are human beings— made of flesh and blood— the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I have been sent out to tell others about the life he has promised through faith in Christ Jesus.

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ— which is to fulfill his own good plan.

God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.

Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.

“ I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.“ And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice— the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life giving power to his Son.And he has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man.Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son,and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come.” Let anyone who hears this say,“ Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

Jesus told him,“ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.

Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people.For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

Finally, he said to his gardener,‘ I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’

If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”

“ Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.

“ Should I ransom them from the grave? Should I redeem them from death? O death, bring on your terrors! O grave, bring on your plagues! For I will not take pity on them.

And now at just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him.I am writing to Titus, my true son in the faith that we share. May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior give you grace and peace.

For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love,

Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming.

Then God put him in the place of honor at his right hand as Prince and Savior. He did this so the people of Israel would repent of their sins and be forgiven.

Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

“ And it is one of King David’s descendants, Jesus, who is God’s promised Savior of Israel!

For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor.

This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.

Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.

while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

There he will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken!

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

which you have prepared for all people.He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!”

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.

Then they said to the woman,“ Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.”

Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.

Consult together, argue your case. Get together and decide what to say. Who made these things known so long ago? What idol ever told you they would happen? Was it not I, the Lord? For there is no other God but me, a righteous God and Savior. There is none but me.

I want you to remember what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Savior commanded through your apostles.

And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.

Jesus told her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called— his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.

The Savior— yes, the Messiah, the Lord— has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.

Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:“ Death is swallowed up in victory.O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

Truly, O God of Israel, our Savior, you work in mysterious ways.
