彼之來、乃依撒但之工作、以諸能諸兆諸偽蹟、

惡者之至、藉撒但力、其妙用異跡奇事、無非偽為、

彼惡者至、藉撒但之力、行一切虛偽之大能異跡奇事、

惟大憝之暴興也、亦必恃沙殫之魔力、恣權行異、

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles.

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with every kind of miracle, both signs and wonders serving the lie,

But there was a man named Simon, who had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was somebody great.They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying,“ This man is the power of God that is called Great.”And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic.

And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying,“ Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.
