人用何法、皆勿為其所惑、蓋其日未至、必先有叛教之事、且彼罪惡之人、即沈淪之子必將顯出、

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

勿為浮言所惑、蓋天主義怒之臨於悖逆諸子、正為此耳。

雖然、依聖神之明示、後來必有叛道棄信者焉。若輩惑於邪神、溺於魔道、輕信天良銷鑠、言行詐偽之人、禁止嫁娶、戒絕某種食物；夫食物乃天主所造也、亦在具有信德、而身體真道者、感恩受之而已矣。

耶穌曰：『爾其慎旃、毋受人欺。蓋將有多人、冒我名而來曰：「吾乃基督；」以是惑眾。爾聞戰爭紛起、風聲鶴唳、毋庸驚惶；蓋此等事在所不免、而終局猶未至也。

當予與若輩俱時、予以父名義守護父所賜予之眾、一無所失、而所失者、惟淪喪之子；此亦所以應驗經言耳。

則彼橫行不法者、行將猖獗。而主耶穌乃必以其所發之正氣、予以懲創、且藉己之昭臨、予以殲滅。惟大憝之暴興也、亦必恃沙殫之魔力、恣權行異、以種種邪法、熒惑自求淪喪之徒。所謂自求淪喪之徒者、即不知愛慕真理、以望得救者耳。

蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；於真諦妙理、則褎如充耳、惟恐有聞；於妖言邪說、則洗耳恭聽、惟恐不聞也。

獸且賦有口才、大言不慚、荒謬絕倫；秉權作孽四十有二月。開口謗讟天主、褻瀆聖名與閟帷、侮慢天上諸神諸聖。

無何、又見一獸出自地下、有二角如羊、而出言如龍；於海獸之前、操其大權、驅策全世居民、朝拜曩日受傷獲瘳之前獸。此獸多行奇跡、能於眾人之前、令火自空中而降。世人以其有權暢行異蹟於海獸之前、多受其熒惑。彼乃慫慂世人、為受傷獲瘳之獸製像、復能授氣於像、令獸像作人言有敢不拜獸像者、殺無赦。又令人民無貴賤貧富主僕、悉受印誌、或在右手或在額上。凡未印有獸名、或獸名之數者、均不得從事貿易。此中有真訣在焉：有知者、可一推算此獸之數、其數乃人之數、即六百六十有六也。

然吾兒當知季世必有危時、人將逞其私欲、孳孳為利、驕矜自慢輕薄褻瀆、不孝父母、忘恩負義、不虔不敬、天良泯滅、結怨不解、譖人不輟、沉湎無度、兇暴不馴、疾善如讎、

而一現即逝之獸、其本身即為第八、出於第七、而歸於消滅。

寧不知為不義者必不得承天主之國乎？幸毋自欺！凡行淫亂、拜偶像、犯奸惡、為孌童、親男色、

爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。
