兄弟則為主之所愛、吾儕尚可不為爾等恆謝洪恩乎？蓋天主自始予爾等以簡拔、俾爾等受聖神之感化、篤信真理、以蒙救恩。

主所爱的弟兄们哪，我们本该常为你们感谢神；因为他从起初拣选了你们，叫你们因信真道，又被圣灵感动，成为圣洁，能以得救。

蒙主所爱的弟兄们，我们应该为你们常常感谢神，因为神为了救恩的缘故，就藉着在圣灵里的分别为圣，以及真理的信仰，拣选了你们做为初熟的果子。

蒙主所愛的弟兄們，我們應該為你們常常感謝神，因為神為了救恩的緣故，就藉著在聖靈裡的分別為聖，以及真理的信仰，揀選了你們做為初熟的果子。

主所愛之兄弟、我當為爾恆謝上帝、以其自始選爾得救、聖之以神、真理是信也、

兄弟乃主之所愛、我儕當為爾恆謝上帝、自昔上帝簡爾、蒙神成聖、信諸真理、是以得救、

主所愛之兄弟、我儕當為爾恆謝天主、因天主自始選爾、得聖神以成聖、及信真道而得救、

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

Brothers and sisters, we should always thank God for you. The Lord loves you. That’s because God chose you as the first to be saved. Salvation comes through the Holy Spirit’s work. He makes people holy. It also comes through believing the truth.

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation— a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth.

But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God has chosen you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

且知我天主寵愛之兄弟、確在蒙簡之列也。

夫天主之救拔吾人、而授吾人以聖召者、初不憑吾人之功績、乃憑其自己之聖意、與夫在基督耶穌身上、夙所賜於吾人之聖寵也。蓋此聖寵之授予、實在萬世以前；

天主於創世以前、夙在基督之身、予吾人以恩簡、俾吾人得成聖潔無瑕、對越所天。蓋天主秉其仁慈、隨其意之所悅預定吾人緣耶穌基督、得為天主之眾嗣、

蓋天主之恩召、非欲吾人嬰其震怒、乃欲吾人因吾主耶穌基督而沾溉救恩。

異邦人聞此、無不竊喜、頌揚主道；凡受命能得永生者、翕然起信、

當時二子尚未出生、善惡未形、而天主欲明示簡選之不憑人力、惟憑恩旨也、

為我兄弟恆謝天主、實為吾儕之天職也。夫以爾等信德之突飛猛進、及彼此間友愛精神之暢發、則吾儕之感謝天主、不亦宜乎。

蒙天主聖父按預知而拔擢、因聖神而成聖、服膺恩命、而霑濡耶穌基督寶血之眾兄弟曰：願恩寵康寧、錫爾不匱、日進無疆。可頌哉、吾主耶穌基督之天主聖父也！天主大慈大悲、藉耶穌基督之復活、予吾人以新生、使吾人欣欣向榮、以望承其不朽不染不衰之洪基、斯則夙為爾曹預儲於天矣。蓋天主之神力、必能因爾之信德、保爾始終不渝、俾沐將顯於末日之恩澤也。

蓋爾因信而蒙救、實憑聖寵；凡此皆非爾所固有、純出天主之惠賜。

於是凡不信真理而惟邪惡是好者、必至判罪而後已。

噫、昏昧無知之加拉太人乎！曩者曾將十字架上之耶穌基督、昭然呈爾目前；今復受誰氏之蠱惑、以至於此耶？

太初有道。與天主偕。道即天主。

無懼如何、安心事主；兢兢業業、聖道是步；

主之所陟、誰得而黜之？主之所義、誰得而罪之？

爾等既為天主寵愛之子民、亟宜以慈善、謙恭、忍耐為佩、寬容大量、彼此體諒、

以種種邪法、熒惑自求淪喪之徒。所謂自求淪喪之徒者、即不知愛慕真理、以望得救者耳。

汝當努力善操聖道莫使失真、庶幾不愧為天主所悅之良工。

莫忘幼承慈訓、素諳經籍。凡經籍所載、莫非令人醒悟、信仰基督耶穌、以自求多福耳。

用特致書於天主所眷、而蒙召成聖之羅馬同人曰：伏願吾父天主、及吾主耶穌基督、降爾聖寵、錫爾平安。爾等之信德、已為舉世所稱道；此吾之所以亟欲緣基督而致謝於天主也。

爾父非他、魔鬼是已！爾父之志、爾則承之。彼自始即為殺人之元兇、未曾須臾立足於真理之中、以彼心中不存真理故。惟誑語乃出其本性；彼為誑者、亦為誑者父。予所言者、真實無妄、而爾則不予信也。爾中有能證予為邪妄者乎？予既以真理語爾、爾亦胡為不予信乎？

使其心因信德而致潔、亦與吾人無異。

又曰：『地基爾所立、諸天爾所作；

耶穌曰：『予即途也、真諦也、生命也。人欲諧父、舍予末由。

惟父憑其自由聖意、以真實無妄之道、予吾人以再造、俾充先薦之果、而與萬物更始；

以篤永望；此望也、爾等於福音之真傳中、夙已聞之、且為爾等預儲於天矣。

然而賴天主洪恩爾等嚮雖為罪之僕、今已心悅誠服、以就脫爾於罪之教範、

伏維吾主耶穌基督及天主聖父、既自始寵愛吾人、而惠賜吾人以無窮之慰望、
