Many will not believe the truth. They will take pleasure in evil. They will be judged.

好使所有不相信真理而喜悦不义的人，都被定罪。

使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。

俾凡不信真理、而悅不義者服鞫、○

使不信真理、悅不義者、悉定厥罪、

使凡不信真理反悅不義者、悉被定罪、○

於是凡不信真理而惟邪惡是好者、必至判罪而後已。

and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.

And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.

that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

They know that God’s commands are right. They know that those who do evil things should die. But they continue to do those very things. They also approve of others who do them.

But there are others who only look out for themselves. They don’t accept the truth. They go astray. God will pour out his great anger on them.

Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life. Anyone who does not believe in the Son will not have life. God’s anger remains on them.”

Certain people have secretly slipped in among you. Long ago it was written that they would be judged. They are ungodly people. They misuse the grace of our God as an excuse for sexual sins. They say no to Jesus Christ, our only Lord and King.I want to remind you about some things you already know. The Lord saved his people. At one time he brought them out of Egypt. But later he destroyed those who did not believe.

But you hate what is good. And you love what is evil. You are like someone who tears the skin off my people. You pull the meat off their bones.

Love must be honest and true. Hate what is evil. Hold on to what is good.

These teachers are never satisfied. They want to get something out of you. So they make up stories to take advantage of you. They have been under a sentence of death for a long time. The God who will destroy them has not been sleeping.

They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to have wild parties in the middle of the day. They are like dirty spots and stains. They enjoy their sinful pleasures while they eat with you.They stare at women who are not their wives. They want to sleep with them. They never stop sinning. They trap those who are not firm in their faith. They have mastered the art of getting what they want. God has placed them under his judgment.They have left God’s way. They have wandered off. They follow the way of Balaam, son of Beor. He loved to get paid for doing his evil work.

The Lord watches over those who do what is right. But he really hates sinful people and those who love to hurt others.

You love evil instead of good. You would rather lie than tell the truth.You love to harm others with your words, you liar!

God didn’t choose us to receive his anger. He chose us to receive salvation because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

I punish people. I will pay them back. The time will come when their feet will slip. Their day of trouble is near. Very soon they will be destroyed.”

They were delighted to hear that he would do this. They promised to give Judas money. So he watched for the right time to hand Jesus over to them.

The mind ruled by the power of sin is at war with God. It does not obey God’s law. It can’t.Those who are under the power of sin can’t please God.

“ Their evil conduct even makes the king glad. Their lies make the princes happy.

Here is the judgment. Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light. They loved darkness because what they did was evil.Everyone who does evil deeds hates the light. They will not come into the light. They are afraid that what they do will be seen.But anyone who lives by the truth comes into the light. They live by the truth with God’s help. They come into the light so that it will be easy to see their good deeds.

But here is what God says to a sinful person.“ What right do you have to speak the words of my laws? How dare you speak the words of my covenant!You hate my teaching. You turn your back on what I say.When you see a thief, you join him. You make friends with those who commit adultery.You use your mouth to speak evil. You use your tongue to spread lies.You are a witness against your brother. You always tell lies about your own mother’s son.When you did these things, I kept silent. So you thought I was just like you. But now I’m going to bring you to court. I will bring charges against you.

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who does not believe will be punished.
