He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

愿所有投靠你的都欢喜，永远欢呼；愿你庇护他们，让那些爱你名的人因你欢庆；耶和华啊，因为你必祝福义人，你用恩典如盾牌围绕他！

耶和华保守你免受一切祸患，他保守你的灵魂。你出你入，耶和华都保守你，从今直到永远！

他训练我的手作战，使我的膀臂能拉开铜弓。你把你救恩的盾牌赐给我，你的右手扶持我，你的谦卑使我为大。你使我脚下的路宽阔，我的脚踝也不颤抖。我追赶我的仇敌，并要追上他们；不灭绝他们，我绝不返回。我击碎他们，使他们不能起来；他们都仆倒在我的脚下。你以能力装备我作战，又使起来敌对我的人屈服在我之下。你使我的仇敌在我面前转身而逃，我把那些恨我的人除尽。他们呼救，却没有人拯救；他们向耶和华呼救，他也不回应。我捣碎他们，如同风前的尘土；我倒出他们，如同街道的泥泞。你救我脱离民众的纷争，立我作列国之首，连我不认识的民也服事我。他们风闻了我，就顺从我；外邦人向我卑躬屈膝。外邦人闻风丧胆，战战兢兢地从他们的营寨中出来。耶和华永远活着！我的磐石是当受颂赞的！愿拯救我的神受尊崇！

马为战争之日所预备，得胜却在于耶和华。

有一天，扫罗的儿子约拿单对替他拿兵器的年轻人说：“走，我们过到对面非利士的守军那里吧！”他却没有把这事告诉他的父亲。

于是，营地和郊外的所有军兵，一片恐慌，守军和突击队都战兢，地也震动，这是从神而来的恐慌。

耶和华我的磐石是当受颂赞的！他训练我的手争战；训练我的指头打仗。他是我慈爱的主，我的要塞、我的庇护所，我的救主、我的盾牌，是我所投靠的；他使我的子民降服在我之下。

主耶和华，我救恩的力量啊，在争战的日子里，你遮护了我的头！
