He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

Then he placed several army garrisons in Damascus, the Aramean capital, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and paid him tribute money. So the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

约拿单攻打迦巴的非利士驻军，非利士人听到了这消息。于是，扫罗在各地吹响号角，通告希伯来人。

约拿单对拿兵器的年轻人说：“我们去那些未受割礼之人的军营，也许耶和华会帮助我们。祂使人得胜不在乎人数多少。”

愿投靠你的人欢歌不断。求你庇护他们，让爱你的人因你而喜乐。耶和华啊，你必赐福给义人，你的恩惠像盾牌四面保护他们。

耶和华必使你免受灾害，保护你的性命。不论你出或入，耶和华都会保护你，从现在直到永远。

祂训练我，使我的手能争战、我的臂膀能拉开铜弓。耶和华啊，你是拯救我的盾牌，你的右手扶持我，你的垂顾使我强大。你使我脚下的道路宽阔，不致滑倒。我追赶仇敌直到追上，不消灭他们决不回头。我打垮他们，使他们倒在我的脚下，再也站不起来。你赐我征战的能力，使我的仇敌降服在我脚下。你使我的仇敌狼狈而逃，我歼灭了恨我的人。他们高声求救，却无人搭救；他们呼求耶和华，祂也不应允。我把他们打得粉碎，如同风中的灰尘；我把他们倒掉，如同街上的泥土。你救我脱离我百姓的攻击，立我做列国的元首。素不认识的民族也归顺我。他们望风而降，外族人对我俯首称臣。外族人闻风丧胆，战战兢兢地走出他们的城池。耶和华永远活着，保护我的磐石当受颂赞，拯救我的上帝当受尊崇。

大卫在以东驻兵，以东人都臣服他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。

马为争战之日预备，胜败由耶和华决定。

一天，扫罗的儿子约拿单对为他拿兵器的年轻人说：“来吧，我们去非利士的驻军那里。”但他没有告诉父亲。

营房、田野的所有非利士人，包括驻军和那些突击队都非常恐慌。大地震动，众人恐惧万分。

现在是时候了，因为耶和华曾说要借着祂仆人大卫的手，从非利士人和其他敌人手中拯救祂的以色列子民。”

耶和华——我的磐石当受称颂，祂使我能争善战。祂是我慈爱的上帝，我的堡垒，我的避难所，我的拯救者，我的盾牌，我投靠祂。祂使列国臣服于我。

他派兵驻守犹大所有的坚城，又把守备军安置在犹大和他父亲亚撒所征服的以法莲各城邑。

主耶和华，我大能的拯救者啊，在战争的日子，你保护我。

他又打败了摩押人，让他们并排躺在地上，然后用绳子去量，每两绳之内的人都要被杀掉，第三绳的人留下性命。从此，摩押人臣服于大卫，向他进贡。

那时大卫留守在堡垒里，非利士人的驻军在伯利恒。
