In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned 33 years over all Israel and Judah.

He brought him from tending ewes to be shepherd over His people Jacob— over Israel, His inheritance.He shepherded them with a pure heart and guided them with his skillful hands.

The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this.

“ When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
