He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

大衛在大馬士革的亞蘭地設立駐軍，這樣亞蘭就臣服於大衛，向他進貢。大衛無論往哪裡去，耶和華都使他得勝。

看哪，保守以色列的，既不打盹，也不睡覺！保守你的是耶和華，他在你右邊蔭庇你。白天，太陽不會傷你；夜間，月亮也不會害你。耶和華保守你免受一切禍患，他保守你的靈魂。你出你入，耶和華都保守你，從今直到永遠！
