King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:

King David set those gifts apart for the Lord. He had done the same thing with the silver and gold he had taken from the other nations. Those were nations he had brought under his control.

所罗门王做完了耶和华殿一切的工，就把他父亲大卫分别为圣的金银和器皿都带来，放在耶和华殿的库房里。

看哪，我辛苦地为耶和华的殿预备了十万他连得金子，一百万他连得银子，铜和铁多得无法可秤；我也预备了木头、石头，你还可以增添。你有许多工匠，就是石匠、木匠，和一切能做各样工的巧匠，以及无数的金银铜铁。你当起来做工，愿耶和华与你同在。”

锡安哪，起来踹谷吧！我必使你的角成为铁，使你的蹄成为铜。你必打碎许多民族，将他们的财宝献给耶和华，将他们的财富献给全地的主。

大卫王把这些器皿，以及从各国夺来的金银，就是从以东、摩押、亚扪人、非利士人、亚玛力所夺来的，都分别为圣献给耶和华。

我为我上帝的殿已经尽力，预备金子做金器，银子做银器，铜做铜器，铁做铁器，木做木器，还有红玛瑙、可镶嵌的宝石、彩石、各样的宝石和许多大理石。

这示罗密和他的兄弟管理一切库房的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，以及军官所分别为圣之物。他们把打仗时夺取的一些财物分别为圣，用来修造耶和华的殿。凡撒母耳先见、基士的儿子扫罗、尼珥的儿子押尼珥、洗鲁雅的儿子约押分别为圣的，一切分别为圣之物都归示罗密和他的兄弟掌管。
