这样，所罗门为耶和华的殿所作的一切工程都完成了。所罗门把他父亲大卫分别为圣的金银和器皿，都运了来，存放在耶和华殿的库房里。

此外，你也有很多匠人：凿石的人、石匠、木匠和能作各样工作的巧手工人，以及金匠、银匠、铜匠、铁匠，多得无法可数；你当起来作工，愿耶和华与你同在！”大卫又吩咐以色列的众领袖帮助他的儿子所罗门，说：

锡安的女子啊！起来踹谷吧！因为我必使你的角成为铁，使你的蹄成为铜；你必粉碎许多民族，毁灭他们所得的不义之财，作为祭物献与耶和华，把他们的财宝献给全地的主。

大卫王把这些器皿，连同从各国夺取的金银，就是从以东、摩押、亚扪人、非利士人和亚玛力人夺取的，都分别为圣献给耶和华。

我为我神的殿已经尽了我的力量，预备了金子做金器，银子做银器，铜做铜器，铁做铁器，木做木器；还有红玛瑙、用作镶嵌的宝石、彩石和各样的宝石，以及很多大理石。

这示罗密和他的兄弟掌管库房里的一切圣物，就是大卫王、众家族首领、千夫长、百夫长和军长所献的圣物。他们把在战场上掠夺的财物献上，用作修建耶和华的殿。撒母耳先见、基士的儿子扫罗、尼珥的儿子押尼珥和洗鲁雅的儿子约押所分别为圣的一切，以及一切分别为圣的物，都归示罗密和他的众兄弟掌管。
