大卫日见强盛，因为耶和华万军之神与他同在。

大卫做事无不精明，耶和华也与他同在。

我要追赶我的仇敌，并要追上他们；不将他们灭绝，我总不归回。我要打伤他们，使他们不能起来；他们必倒在我的脚下。因为你曾以力量束我的腰，使我能争战；你也使那起来攻击我的都服在我以下。你又使我的仇敌在我面前转背逃跑，叫我能以剪除那恨我的人。他们呼求，却无人拯救；就是呼求耶和华，他也不应允。我捣碎他们，如同风前的灰尘，倒出他们，如同街上的泥土。

他从灰尘里抬举贫寒人，从粪堆中提拔穷乏人，使他们与王子同坐，就是与本国的王子同坐。

又在以东全地设立防营，以东人就都归服大卫。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。

于是大卫在大马士革的亚兰地设立防营，亚兰人就归服他，给他进贡。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。

这样，扫罗和他三个儿子，与拿他兵器的人，以及跟随他的人，都一同死亡。

他叫有权柄的失位，叫卑贱的升高；

他从灰尘里抬举贫寒人，从粪堆中提拔穷乏人，使他们与王子同坐，得着荣耀的座位。地的柱子属于耶和华；他将世界立在其上。

他使我的脚快如母鹿的蹄，又使我在高处安稳。他教导我的手能以争战，甚至我的膀臂能开铜弓。你把你的救恩给我作盾牌；你的温和使我为大。你使我脚下的地步宽阔；我的脚未曾滑跌。我追赶我的仇敌，灭绝了他们，未灭以先，我没有归回。

我藉着你冲入敌军，藉着我的神跳过墙垣。

神的城啊，有荣耀的事乃指着你说的。细拉我要提起拉哈伯和巴比伦人，是在认识我之中的；看哪，非利士和推罗并古实人，个个生在那里。论到锡安，必说：“这一个、那一个都生在其中”，而且至高者必亲自坚立这城。当耶和华记录万民的时候，他要点出这一个生在那里。细拉

当耶和华救大卫脱离一切仇敌和扫罗之手的日子，他向耶和华念这诗，

我要在他面前打碎他的敌人，击杀那恨他的人。

我必叫你成为大国。我必赐福给你，叫你的名为大；你也要叫别人得福。
