大卫日渐强盛，因为万军之上帝耶和华与他同在。

无论你去哪里，我都与你同在，为你铲除所有仇敌。现在我要使你声名远播，与世上的伟人齐名。

耶和华与大卫同在，因此他事事成功。

我追赶仇敌直到追上，不消灭他们决不回头。我打垮他们，使他们倒在我的脚下，再也站不起来。你赐我征战的能力，使我的仇敌降服在我脚下。你使我的仇敌狼狈而逃，我歼灭了恨我的人。他们高声求救，却无人搭救；他们呼求耶和华，祂也不应允。我把他们打得粉碎，如同风中的灰尘；我把他们倒掉，如同街上的泥土。

祂从灰尘中提拔贫穷人，从粪堆中擢升困苦人，使他们与王子同坐，与本国的王子同坐。

他又在以东全境设驻军，以东人都臣服于他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。

还派军驻守亚兰国的大马士革，亚兰人臣服大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。

这样，扫罗和他三个儿子，以及为他拿兵器的人和他的军队都死了。

祂使当权者失势，叫谦卑的人升高。

祂从灰尘中提拔穷苦的人，从粪堆里擢升贫贱的人，使他们与王子同坐，得享尊荣。大地的根基属于耶和华，祂在上面建立了世界。

祂使我的脚如母鹿的蹄，稳踏在高处。祂训练我的手怎样作战，使我的手臂能拉开铜弓。你是拯救我的盾牌，你的垂顾使我强大。你使我脚下的道路宽阔，不致滑倒。我追赶仇敌，击溃他们，不消灭他们决不回头。

我依靠你的力量迎战敌军，靠着我的上帝跃过墙垣。

上帝的城啊，人们传扬你的荣耀。（细拉）“我要把埃及人、巴比伦人、非利士人、泰尔人和古实人列为认识我的民族，视他们为锡安人。”至于锡安，必有人说：“万族必成为城中的居民，至高者必亲自坚立这城。”耶和华将万民登记入册的时候，必把他们列为锡安的居民。（细拉）

耶和华从扫罗和所有仇敌手中拯救大卫那天，他向耶和华吟唱此诗：

我要当着他的面击垮他的敌人，打倒恨他的人。

我必使你成为大国，我必赐福给你，使你声名远播。你必成为别人的祝福。
