I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.

“‘ If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me,then I will walk contrary to you in wrath. I will also chastise you seven times for your sins.

He said,“ My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”Moses said to him,“ If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.

“‘ If by these things you won’t be turned back to me, but will walk contrary to me,then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.

“ To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write:“ He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:

for Yahweh your God walks in the middle of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

for I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought up Israel to this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tent to another.In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

“ Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen;

What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said,“ I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”

They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of Yahweh’s covenant went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.When the ark went forward, Moses said,“ Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”When it rested, he said,“ Return, Yahweh, to the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”
