I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.

‘ Yet if in spite of this you do not obey Me, but act with hostility against Me,then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I for My part will punish you seven times for your sins.

And He said,“ My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”Then he said to Him,“ If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.

‘ And if by these things you do not learn your lesson regarding Me, but you show hostility toward Me,then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.

“ To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:

Since the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to save you and to defeat your enemies before you, your camp must be holy; so He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you.

for I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel to this day, but I have gone from tent to tent and from one dwelling place to another.In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.Throughout their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out;but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up.For throughout their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

“ Our fathers had the tabernacle of testimony in the wilderness, just as He who spoke to Moses directed him to make it according to the pattern which he had seen.

Or what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,“ I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

So they moved on from the mountain of the Lord three days’ journey, with the ark of the covenant of the Lord going on in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them.And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day when they set out from the camp.Then it came about when the ark set out that Moses said,“ Rise up, Lord! And may Your enemies be scattered, And those who hate You flee from Your presence.”And when it came to rest, he said,“ Return, Lord, To the myriad thousands of Israel.”
