謂先知拿單曰、我居柏香木宮中、而天主之匱、反在在原文作居帷幔內、

he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”

Then the king spoke to Nathan the prophet. He said,“ Here I am, living in a house that has beautiful cedar walls. But the ark of God remains in a tent.”

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.”

the king summoned Nathan the prophet.“ Look,” David said,“ I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”

the king said to the prophet Nathan,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

that the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I live in a house of cedar, but the ark of God remains within the tent.”

that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

The king said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look! I am living in a palace made from cedar, while the ark of God sits in the middle of a tent.”

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

Then Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters and masons. And they built David a house.

Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him:“ There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor.

who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob.

“ Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?”

Then His disciples remembered that it was written,“ Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”

“ Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. And every one of the curtains shall have the same measurements.Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.And you shall make loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the selvedge of one set, and likewise you shall do on the outer edge of the other curtain of the second set.Fifty loops you shall make in the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is on the end of the second set, that the loops may be clasped to one another.And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains together with the clasps, so that it may be one tabernacle.“ You shall also make curtains of goats’ hair, to be a tent over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; and the eleven curtains shall all have the same measurements.And you shall couple five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the forefront of the tent.You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain of the second set.And you shall make fifty bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.The remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.And a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other side, of what remains of the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and on that side, to cover it.“ You shall also make a covering of ram skins dyed red for the tent, and a covering of badger skins above that.

Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

But David had brought up the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim to the place David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

“ Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,Who says,‘ I will build myself a wide house with spacious chambers, And cut out windows for it, Paneling it with cedar And painting it with vermilion.’“ Shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters, to build him a house.

Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

So they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.
