一天，王對拿單先知說：「你看！我住在香柏木造的王宮中，但上帝的約櫃還留在帳篷裡。」

那时，王对先知拿单说：“看哪，我住在香柏木的宫中，神的约柜反在幔子里。”

王对拿单先知说：“你看，我住在香柏木的宫中，上帝的约柜却停在幔子里。”

一天，王对拿单先知说：“你看！我住在香柏木造的王宫中，但上帝的约柜还留在帐篷里。”

王对拿单先知说：“你看！我自己住在香柏木的宫里，耶和华的约柜却停在帐幕内。”

那時，王對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，神的約櫃反在幔子裏。」

王對拿單先知說：「你看，我住在香柏木的宮中，上帝的約櫃卻停在幔子裏。」

王對拿單先知說：「你看，我住在香柏木的宮中，神的約櫃卻停在幔子裏。」

王對拿單先知說：“你看！我自己住在香柏木的宮裡，耶和華的約櫃卻停在帳幕內。”

王對神言人拿單說：『你看我，我住在香柏木的宮殿，而上帝的櫃反而住在幔子中間。』

王對先知拿單說：「你看，如今我住在香柏木的宮殿裡，神的約櫃卻在帳幕裡。」

王謂先知拿單曰、我居香柏之室、而上帝之匱乃在帳中、

諭先知拿單曰、我居之宮、以柏香木創造、而上帝之匱、反在幔中。

he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”

Then the king spoke to Nathan the prophet. He said,“ Here I am, living in a house that has beautiful cedar walls. But the ark of God remains in a tent.”

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.”

the king summoned Nathan the prophet.“ Look,” David said,“ I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”

the king said to the prophet Nathan,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

that the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I live in a house of cedar, but the ark of God remains within the tent.”

泰爾王希蘭差遣使者帶著香柏木、木匠和石匠去為大衛建造宮殿。

耶和華派拿單先知去見大衛。拿單對大衛說：「一座城裡有兩個人，一個富有，一個貧窮。

大衛蒙上帝悅納，祈求為雅各的上帝建造一座聖殿。

「這殿還是一片廢墟，你們卻住在華麗的房子裡。

祂的門徒想起聖經上說：「我對你的殿充滿炙熱的愛。」

「要用十幅幔子造聖幕，這些幔子要用細麻線和藍、紫、朱紅三種顏色的毛線織成，還要用精緻的手工繡上基路伯天使。每幅幔子的尺寸都一樣，長十二米、寬兩米。每五幅連在一起，形成兩幅大幔子。要在每幅大幔子邊緣釘上藍色的扣環，每幅大幔子釘五十個，扣環要兩兩相對，再做五十個金鉤，把兩幅大幔子連在一起，成為聖幕。「要用山羊毛織十一幅幔子作聖幕的罩棚，每幅長十三米、寬兩米。十一幅幔子的尺寸都要一樣。然後，你們要把五幅連成一大幅，其餘六幅連成一大幅，第六幅要在聖幕前疊起來。要在這兩幅幔子的邊緣各釘上五十個扣環，再做五十個銅鉤，把這兩幅大幔子扣在一起，成為一個完整的罩棚。鋪罩棚所剩下來的半幅幔子要垂到聖幕後面。兩旁餘下的幔子可垂在聖幕的兩邊，每邊長五十釐米，蓋著聖幕。罩棚上面要蓋一層染成紅色的公羊皮，再蓋一層海狗皮做頂蓋。

大衛王一生的事蹟都記在撒母耳先見、拿單先知和迦得先見的史記上。

眾人將上帝的約櫃抬進去，安放在大衛所搭的帳篷裡，然後在上帝面前獻上燔祭和平安祭。

大衛已經把上帝的約櫃從基列·耶琳搬到耶路撒冷，因為他在那裡為約櫃搭了一個帳篷。

耶和華說：「約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬啊，你有禍了！你以不公不義的手段建造宮廷殿宇，不給工人發工錢。你說要為自己建造宏偉的宮殿、寬敞的房間。你安上窗戶，鑲上香柏木，塗上紅漆。難道你大肆使用香柏木就能顯出你做王的氣派嗎？你父親也吃也喝，但他秉公行義，所以他凡事順利；

拿單就把所聽到的啟示全部告訴大衛。

把約櫃抬進聖幕，掛起幔子遮掩約櫃，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。

他們把耶和華的約櫃抬來，安放在大衛準備好的帳篷裡。大衛在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭，
