惟我仁慈不離之、如昔奪之於掃羅、即我為爾所棄者、

我必待之以恩、不若掃羅、恩義已絕。昔我棄掃羅、簡擇於爾、

但我之仁慈、仁慈或作恩寵仍不離之、如曾離掃羅、即我於爾前所棄者、

But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

I took my love away from Saul. I removed him from being king. You were there when I did it. But I will never take my love away from your son.

but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.

But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight.

But my faithful love will never leave him as it did when I removed it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

but My favor shall not depart from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from you.

but my lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way.

But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took[ it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

But my loyal love will not be removed from him as I removed it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

but my loving kindness will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”

So Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.

However I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of my servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.”

I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men.

But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.

My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall stand firm with him.

My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

However I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, because I have made him ruler all the days of his life for the sake of My servant David, whom I chose because he kept My commandments and My statutes.But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand and give it to you— ten tribes.And to his son I will give one tribe, that My servant David may always have a lamp before Me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Myself, to put My name there.

And he also stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say,“ Is Saul also among the prophets?”

‘ For I will defend this city, to save it For My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’”

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’”

Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus:‘ I will give you the sure mercies of David.’Therefore He also says in another Psalm:‘ You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.’“ For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;but He whom God raised up saw no corruption.
