即使我们受惩罚，也是在受主的管教，免得我们和这世界一同被定罪。

我找到我的仆人大卫，用我圣洁的膏油膏抹了他。我的手必坚定地与他同在，我的膀臂也必使他稳固。仇敌不能毁灭他，不义之子也不能苦待他。我要在他面前打碎他的敌人，我要击打那些恨他的人。我的信实和我的慈爱要与他同在；奉我的名，他的角必被高举。我要把他的左手放到海洋上，把他的右手放到河流中。他将呼求我：‘你是我的父、我的神，是我救恩的磐石。’我还要立他作长子，作地上君王中的至高者。我要向他持守我的慈爱，直到永远；我与他所立的约也必坚定。我要坚立他的后裔，直到永远；使他的宝座如天之久。如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照着我的法规而行；如果他们亵渎我的律例，不遵守我的诫命；我就要用杖惩罚他们的过犯，用鞭惩罚他们的罪孽。然而，我不会从他身上收回我的慈爱，也不会背弃我的信实。我不会违背我的约，也不会改变我口中所出的话。我曾指着我的圣洁起过一次誓，我绝不对大卫说谎。他的后裔将长存，直到永远；他的宝座在我面前如同太阳，又如月亮永远确立，像是天上确实的见证。”细拉

难道你们已经忘记那安慰的话吗？就是他对你们如同对儿女那样讲论的话：“我儿，你不可轻看主的管教；被他责备的时候，也不可丧气。因为主所爱的人，主都管教；他所接纳的每一个儿子，他都鞭打。”对管教的事，你们要忍受；神对待你们，就像对待儿女那样。到底哪一个儿子不受父亲的管教呢？大家都有份受管教；你们如果没有受管教，那么，你们就是私生子，不是儿子了。再者，我们有肉身的父亲来管教我们，我们尚且敬重他们，何况对这位万灵之父，我们难道不更要服从他而活着吗？肉身的父亲在短暂的日子里，固然照着自己的意思来管教我们；但万灵之父是为了我们的益处管教我们，好使我们在他的圣洁上有份。不过所有的管教，当时虽然不觉得是愉快的事，反觉得是忧伤的事，而后来却为那些由此受到操练的人，结出平安和义行的果子。

这时候，忽然有声音从诸天传来，说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。”

耶和华啊！你所管教、用律法教导的人，是蒙福的。你使他在灾祸的日子里平稳，直到给恶人挖好了深坑；

我儿啊，不可厌弃耶和华的管教，也不可厌恶他的责备！因为耶和华责备他所爱的，正如父亲责备他所喜悦的儿子。
