I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.

神曾对哪一个天使说过：“你是我的儿子，我今日生了你”呢？或者说：“我要作他的父亲，他要作我的儿子”呢？

耶和华对我说：‘你的儿子所罗门要建造我的殿宇和庭院；因为我已经拣选他作我的儿子，我也要作他的父亲。

凡是我所爱的，我就责备管教；所以你要热心，也要悔改。

然而我们被主审判的时候，是受他的管教，免得和世人一同被定罪。

我要作他的父亲，他要作我的儿子；我的慈爱必不离开他，像离开在你以前的那位一样；

我找到我的仆人大卫，用我的圣膏油膏他。我的手必坚立他，我的膀臂必坚固他。仇敌必不能欺骗他，凶恶的人必不能压迫他。我要在他的面前击碎他的敌人，击杀那些恨他的人。我的信实和慈爱必与他同在，他的角必因我的名被高举。我必使他的左手伸到大海，使他的右手伸到大河。他必呼叫我，说：‘你是我的父、我的神、拯救我的磐石。’我也要立他为长子，为世上最高的君王。我要永远保持我对他的慈爱，我和他所立的约必坚立。我要使他的后裔存到永远，使他的王位好像天一样长久。如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照着我的典章而行；如果他们违背我的律例，不遵守我的诫命，我就用杖责罚他们的过犯，用鞭责罚他们的罪孽。但我必不把我的慈爱从他身上收回，也必不背弃我的信实。我必不违背我的约，也不改变我口中所出的话。我断然指着自己的圣洁起誓，说：‘我决不向大卫说谎。他的后裔必存到永远，他的王位在我面前必像太阳长存，又像月亮永远坚立，作天上确实的见证。’”（细拉）

因此你心里要明白，耶和华你的神管教你，好像人管教他的儿子一样。

因为我与你同在，要拯救你；我要消灭我赶散你去的列国，却必不消灭你。我要按公正惩治你，决不能免你受罚。’”这是耶和华的宣告。

你们又忘记了那劝你们好像劝儿子的话，说：“我儿！你不可轻看主的管教，受责备的时候也不要灰心；因为主所爱的，他必管教，他又鞭打所收纳的每一个儿子。”为了接受管教，你们要忍受，因为神待你们好像待儿子一样；哪有儿子不受父亲管教的呢？作儿子的都受过管教。如果你们没有受管教，就是私生子，不是儿子了。还有，肉身的父亲管教我们，我们尚且敬重他们；何况那万灵的父，我们不是更要顺服他而得生吗？肉身的父亲照着自己的意思管教我们，只有短暂的日子；唯有神管教我们，是为着我们的好处，使我们在他的圣洁上有分。但是一切管教，在当时似乎不觉得快乐，反觉得痛苦；后来却为那些经过这种操练的人，结出平安的果子来，就是义。

神所责备的人是有福的，所以你不要轻看全能者的管教。

又有声音从天上来，说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。”

耶和华啊！你所管教，用律法教导的人，是有福的。在患难的日子，你使他得享平安，直到为恶人所预备的坑挖好了。

我儿，不可轻看耶和华的管教，也不可厌恶他的责备；因为耶和华所爱的，他必责备，正如父亲责备他喜爱的儿子一样。
