所罗门王献二万二千头牛、十二万只羊为祭。这样，王和众百姓为神的殿行了奉献之礼。祭司各供其职侍立，利未人拿着耶和华的乐器，就是大卫王所造、为要颂赞耶和华的乐器，因他的慈爱永远长存；他们为大卫的赞美诗奏乐；祭司在众人面前吹号，以色列众人都站立。所罗门因他所造的铜坛容不下燔祭、素祭和脂肪，就将耶和华殿前院子的中间分别为圣，在那里献燔祭和平安祭牲的脂肪。

众人将神的约柜请进去，安放在大卫为它搭的帐幕中，就在神面前献燔祭和平安祭。

以色列人、祭司和利未人，以及其余被掳归回的人都欢欢喜喜地为神的这殿行奉献礼。他们为这神殿的奉献礼献了一百头公牛、二百只公绵羊、四百只小绵羊，又照以色列支派的数目献十二只公山羊，作以色列众人的赎罪祭。
