大卫吩咐利未人的族长，派他们歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和钹作乐，欢欢喜喜地大声歌颂。

匠人立耶和华殿根基的时候，祭司皆穿礼服吹号，亚萨的子孙利未人敲钹，照以色列王大卫所定的例，都站着赞美耶和华。他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶和华说：“他本为善，他向以色列人永发慈爱。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众民大声呼喊，因耶和华殿的根基已经立定。

神啊，你是我的神，我的王；人已经看见你行走，进入圣所。歌唱的行在前，作乐的随在后，都在击鼓的童女中间。从以色列源头而来的，当在各会中称颂主神！在那里，有统管他们的小便雅悯，有犹大的首领和他们的群众，有西布伦的首领，有拿弗他利的首领。

要用角声赞美他，鼓瑟弹琴赞美他！

万民哪，你们都要拍掌！要用夸胜的声音向神呼喊！

耶和华晓谕摩西说：“你要用银子做两枝号，都要锤出来的，用以招聚会众，并叫众营起行。吹这号的时候，全会众要到你那里，聚集在会幕门口。若单吹一枝，众首领，就是以色列军中的统领，要聚集到你那里。吹出大声的时候，东边安的营都要起行。二次吹出大声的时候，南边安的营都要起行。他们将起行，必吹出大声。但招聚会众的时候，你们要吹号，却不要吹出大声。亚伦子孙作祭司的要吹这号；这要作你们世世代代永远的定例。你们在自己的地，与欺压你们的敌人打仗，就要用号吹出大声，便在耶和华你们的神面前得蒙纪念，也蒙拯救脱离仇敌。在你们快乐的日子和节期，并月朔，献燔祭和平安祭，也要吹号，这都要在你们的神面前作为纪念。我是耶和华你们的神。”

这样，以色列众人欢呼吹角、吹号、敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，大发响声，将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

神上升，有喊声相送；耶和华上升，有角声相送。你们要向神歌颂，歌颂！向我们王歌颂，歌颂！

于是，大卫和以色列的长老，并千夫长都去从俄别以东的家欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

我要使他的仇敌披上羞耻；但他的冠冕要在头上发光。”
