So David asked the LORD,“ Should I march up against the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The LORD said to David,“ March up, for I will indeed hand the Philistines over to you.”

大衛問主曰、我上而攻非利士人可乎、主以彼付於我手乎、主諭大衛曰、可上、我必以彼付於爾手、

so David inquired of the Lord,“ Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?” The Lord answered him,“ Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.”

So David asked the Lord for advice. He said,“ Should I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord answered him,“ Go. I will surely hand over the Philistines to you.”

And David inquired of the Lord,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.”

So David asked the Lord,“ Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord replied to David,“ Yes, go ahead. I will certainly hand them over to you.”

Then David inquired of the LORD:“ Should I attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The LORD replied to David,“ Attack, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.”

So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You hand them over to me?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.”

So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Jehovah said unto David, Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into thy hand.

Then David inquired of the Lord:“ Should I go to war against the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord replied to David,“ Go, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.”

And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

David inquired of Yahweh, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?” Yahweh said to David,“ Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

Afterward David inquired of the LORD,“ Should I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” The LORD told him,“ Go up.” David asked,“ Where should I go?” The LORD replied,“ To Hebron.”

So David asked the LORD,“ Should I go and strike down these Philistines?” The LORD said to David,“ Go, strike down the Philistines and deliver Keilah.”

Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, was serving the LORD in those days),“ Should we once more march out to fight the Benjaminites our brothers, or should we quit?” The LORD said,“ Attack, for tomorrow I will hand them over to you.”

Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.

When he came before the king, the king asked him,“ Micaiah, should we attack Ramoth Gilead or not?” He answered him,“ Attack! You will succeed; the LORD will hand it over to the king.”The king said to him,“ How many times must I make you solemnly promise in the name of the LORD to tell me only the truth?”Micaiah said,“ I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains like sheep that have no shepherd. Then the LORD said,‘ They have no master. They should go home in peace.’”The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Didn’t I tell you he does not prophesy prosperity for me, but disaster?”Micaiah said,“ That being the case, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, with all the heavenly assembly standing on his right and on his left.The LORD said,‘ Who will deceive Ahab, so he will attack Ramoth Gilead and die there?’ One said this and another that.Then a spirit stepped forward and stood before the LORD. He said,‘ I will deceive him.’ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’He replied,‘ I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’ The LORD said,‘ Deceive and overpower him. Go out and do as you have proposed.’So now, look, the LORD has placed a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours; but the LORD has decreed disaster for you.”

So David asked the LORD once again. But again the LORD replied,“ Arise, go down to Keilah, for I will give the Philistines into your hand.”

You ought to say instead,“ If the Lord is willing, then we will live and do this or that.”

Then David said to the priest Abiathar son of Ahimelech,“ Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.David inquired of the LORD, saying,“ Should I pursue this raiding band? Will I overtake them?” He said to him,“ Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them and carry out a rescue!”

So Saul inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him– not by dreams nor by Urim nor by the prophets.

So David asked the LORD what he should do. This time the LORD said to him,“ Don’t march straight up. Instead, circle around behind them and come against them opposite the trees.

So the king of Israel assembled about four hundred prophets and asked them,“ Should I attack Ramoth Gilead or not?” They said,“ Attack! The sovereign one will hand it over to the king.”
