They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ish- Bosheth son of Saul, your enemy, who tried to kill you. This day the Lord has avenged my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to King David at Hebron. They said to him,“ Here’s the head of Ish- Bosheth, the son of Saul. Saul was your enemy. He often tried to kill you. Today the Lord has paid back Saul and his family. He has let you get even with them. You are our king and master.”

and brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David at Hebron. And they said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life. The Lord has avenged my lord the king this day on Saul and on his offspring.”

When they arrived at Hebron, they presented Ishbosheth’s head to David.“ Look!” they exclaimed to the king.“ Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of your enemy Saul who tried to kill you. Today the Lord has given my lord the king revenge on Saul and his entire family!”

They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the LORD has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

Then they brought the head of Ish bosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ish bosheth the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life; so the Lord has given my lord the king vengeance this day on Saul and his descendants.”

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the Lord has avenged my Lord the king this day of Saul and his descendants.”

And they brought the head of Ish- bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold, the head of Ish- bosheth, the son of Saul, thine enemy, who sought thy life; and Jehovah hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the Lord has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

They brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, saying to the king,“ Look! The head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who sought your life! The LORD has granted vengeance to my lord the king this day against Saul and his descendants!”

They brought the head of Ishbosheth to David to Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life! Yahweh has avenged my lord the king today of Saul, and of his offspring.”

雖然有人起來追趕你，尋索你的命，我主的性命必得保全在耶和華你的神生命的囊中。至於你仇敵的命，耶和華卻要甩去，像從甩石機甩出去一樣。

大衛懼怕，因為掃羅出來尋索他的命。那時大衛住在西弗曠野的何列斯那裡。

掃羅又派人去看大衛說：“你們把他連床一起抬到我這裡來，我好殺死他。”

跟隨大衛的人對他說：“耶和華曾應許你說：‘我要把你的仇敵交在你的手裡，你可以隨意待他。’看哪！今天就是時候了。”於是大衛起來，悄悄地割下掃羅外袍的衣邊。

掃羅把槍擲過去，心裡說：“我要把大衛刺在牆上。”大衛兩次避開了他。

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：“讓我跑去，把這好消息向王報告，就是耶和華已經把他從仇敵的手中拯救出來了。”

約拿單告訴大衛：“我父親掃羅正設法要殺死你。所以明天早晨你要小心，留在隱密的地方裡，躲藏起來。我會出去，到你藏身的那塊田那裡，站在我父親旁邊，和他談論你的事。我看看情形怎樣，然後告訴你。”約拿單向父親掃羅替大衛說好話，說：“王不要得罪你的僕人大衛，因為他沒有得罪你；並且他所作的，對你大有好處。他冒著生命的危險擊殺了那非利士人，耶和華為以色列人施行了大拯救，那時你看見了，也很歡喜。現在你為甚麼要犯罪，無緣無故殺死大衛，流無辜人的血呢？”掃羅聽了約拿單的話，就起誓，說：“我指著永活的耶和華起誓，大衛必不會被殺死。”約拿單叫大衛來，把這一切話都告訴他；約拿單把大衛帶到掃羅那裡，他就像以前一樣，侍候在掃羅面前。後來，又有戰事；大衛出去與非利士人交戰，大敗他們，他們就在大衛面前逃跑。從耶和華那裡來的惡鬼又臨到掃羅身上；那時掃羅坐在屋裡，手裡拿著槍。大衛正在彈琴，掃羅就想用槍刺殺大衛，把他刺在牆上，但大衛從掃羅面前躲開了，他的槍刺在牆上。那天晚上大衛逃跑，就逃脫了。掃羅派人到大衛家裡去監視他，要在第二天早晨殺死他。大衛的妻子米甲告訴他說：“今天晚上你若不逃命，明天就會被殺死。”

天哪，你要因她歡喜！眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，你們也要因她歡喜！因為神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。”

那古實人也到了。他說：“有好消息報給我主我王；今天耶和華已經救你脫離那些起來攻擊你的人的手了！”

說：“那些要殺害這孩子的人已經死了。起來，帶著孩子和他母親回以色列地去吧。”

他們大聲喊叫，說：“聖潔真實的主啊！你不審判住在地上的人，給我們伸流血的冤，要到幾時呢？”

但那些尋索我、要殺我的人，必下到地的深處。他們必交在刀劍之下，成了野狗的食物。

他是那位為我伸冤的神，他使萬民服在我的腳下，

難道神不會為晝夜呼籲他的選民伸冤嗎？難道神會耽誤他們嗎？我告訴你們，他要快快地給他們伸冤。然而人子來的時候，在世上找得到這種信心嗎？”

我的舌頭也要終日講述你的公義，因為那些謀求害我的人已經蒙羞受辱了。

大衛從拉瑪的拿約逃走，來見約拿單，說：“我作了甚麼？我有甚麼罪孽？我在你父親面前犯了甚麼罪，他竟尋索我的性命呢？”
