They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ish- Bosheth son of Saul, your enemy, who tried to kill you. This day the Lord has avenged my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to King David at Hebron. They said to him,“ Here’s the head of Ish- Bosheth, the son of Saul. Saul was your enemy. He often tried to kill you. Today the Lord has paid back Saul and his family. He has let you get even with them. You are our king and master.”

They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the LORD has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

Then they brought the head of Ish bosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ish bosheth the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life; so the Lord has given my lord the king vengeance this day on Saul and his descendants.”

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the Lord has avenged my Lord the king this day of Saul and his descendants.”

你就是被人追杀，也会在你的上帝耶和华的保护下安然无恙。你敌人的性命却要像石头一样被耶和华用投石器抛出去。

大卫在西弗旷野的何利沙得知扫罗要来杀他。

扫罗又派人去见大卫，并吩咐说：“把他连床一起抬来，我好杀他。”

大卫的部下对大卫说：“耶和华说过要把你的仇敌交在你手中，任你处置，今天机会来了。”大卫就爬过去，偷偷割了扫罗外袍的一角。

他突然把矛投向大卫，心想：“我要把他刺透，钉在墙上。”他投了两次，大卫都躲过了。

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯对约押说：“请让我跑回去向王禀告，让王知道耶和华已从仇敌手中救了他。”

便告诉他，说：“我父亲要杀你，明天早上你要小心，找个僻静的地方躲起来。我会出去和父亲站在你藏身的田间，跟他提你的事，然后把消息告诉你。”约拿单就在父亲面前替大卫说好话，他说：“王不要伤害大卫，他从来没有对不起王，他所做的使王大受益处。他冒着生命危险去杀非利士人，耶和华使以色列人大获全胜，当时你看见了，非常欢喜，现在为什么要犯罪，枉杀无辜的大卫呢？”扫罗听了约拿单的话，就凭永活的耶和华起誓说：“我不杀大卫。”约拿单叫来大卫，把经过告诉他，带他去见扫罗，大卫又像以前一样伺候扫罗。后来，战事再度爆发，大卫领兵与非利士人交战，大败敌人，杀得他们四散溃逃。一天，扫罗手里拿着矛正坐在家中，从耶和华那里来的邪灵降临在扫罗身上。大卫正在弹琴，扫罗想用矛把大卫刺透，钉在墙上，大卫躲开了，矛插在了墙上。大卫当晚逃走了。扫罗派人监视大卫的家，要在早上杀死他。大卫的妻子米甲警告他说：“如果你今晚不逃命，明早必死无疑。”

上天啊，众圣徒、众使徒和众先知啊，为她的下场欢乐吧！因为上帝已经向她施行报应，为你们申冤了。”

这时，古示人也到了，他说：“我有好消息向我主我王禀告，今日耶和华已经从一切反叛之人手中救了我主我王。”

“起来，带着孩子和祂母亲回以色列去吧！因为要杀害孩子的人已经死了。”

他们大声喊着说：“圣洁真实的主宰啊，还要等多久呢？为什么你还不审判地上那些屠杀我们的人，为我们申冤呢？”

那些图谋毁灭我的人必下到阴间。他们必丧身刀下，成为豺狼的食物。

祂是为我申冤的上帝，祂使列邦臣服于我。

难道上帝听到祂拣选的人昼夜呼求，不替他们申冤吗？难道祂会一直耽延不理吗？我告诉你们，祂必很快为他们申冤。不过当人子来的时候，在世上找得到有信心的人吗？”

我要终日向人述说你的公义，因为那些想害我的人已经蒙羞受辱。

大卫从拉玛的拿约逃出来去见约拿单，问他：“我做了什么？犯了什么罪？我什么地方对不起你父亲，他竟追杀我？”
