God will severely judge Abner if I do not do for David exactly what the LORD has promised him,

愿上帝重重惩罚押尼珥！我要照着耶和华起誓应许大卫的话为他成就，

倘若我不照着耶和华应许大卫的誓言把扫罗的江山夺过来交给大卫，让他统治全以色列和犹大，从但到别示巴，愿耶和华重重地惩罚我！”

我若不按着耶和华向大卫所起誓应许的去行：废去扫罗家的王国，建立大卫的王位，使他统治以色列和犹大，从但直到别是巴，愿神降罚押尼珥，重重地降罚他。”

我如果不照著耶和華向大衛所起的誓為大衛去行——從掃羅家挪去王權，確立大衛的寶座，使他統治以色列和猶大，從但直到比爾-謝巴——就願神處置押尼珥，重重地處置他！」

耶和華曾與大衛誓、我必為大衛成其事、否則願上帝罰我維倍、

昔耶和華誓、移掃羅國祚、立大闢為王、治以色列族與猶大族、自但及別是巴、今我亦將助之、否、則願上帝降罰於我。

我押尼珥若不循主所誓於大衛者、為大衛而行、則願主從重罰我、

May God deal with Abner, be it ever so severely, if I do not do for David what the Lord promised him on oath

I will do for David what the Lord promised him. If I don’t, may God punish me greatly.

God do so to Abner and more also, if I do not accomplish for David what the Lord has sworn to him,

May God strike me and even kill me if I don’t do everything I can to help David get what the Lord has promised him!

May God punish Abner and do so severely if I don’t do for David what the LORD swore to him:

May God do so to me, and more so, if as the Lord has sworn to David, I do not accomplish this for him:

May God do so to Abner, and more also, if I do not do for David as the Lord has sworn to him—

May God punish Abner and do so severely if I don’t do for David what the Lord swore to him:

Samuel said to him,“ The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day and has given it to one of your colleagues who is better than you!

Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah with this warning,“ May the gods judge me severely if by this time tomorrow I do not take your life as you did theirs!”

The following is a record of the armed warriors who came with their leaders and joined David in Hebron in order to make David king in Saul’s place, in accordance with the LORD’s decree:

Wherever you die, I will die– and there I will be buried. May the LORD punish me severely if I do not keep my promise! Only death will be able to separate me from you!”

The LORD has done exactly as I prophesied! The LORD has torn the kingdom from your hand and has given it to your neighbor David!

Saul said,“ God will punish me severely if Jonathan doesn’t die!”

The LORD said to Samuel,“ How long do you intend to mourn for Saul? I have rejected him as king over Israel. Fill your horn with olive oil and go! I am sending you to Jesse in Bethlehem, for I have selected a king for myself from among his sons.”Samuel replied,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” But the LORD said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you should do. You will anoint for me the one I point out to you.”Samuel did what the LORD told him. When he arrived in Bethlehem, the elders of the city were afraid to meet him. They said,“ Do you come in peace?”He replied,“ Yes, in peace. I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” So he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.When they arrived, Samuel noticed Eliab and said to himself,“ Surely, here before the LORD stands his chosen king!”But the LORD said to Samuel,“ Don’t be impressed by his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. God does not view things the way men do. People look on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”Then Jesse called Abinadab and presented him to Samuel. But Samuel said,“ The LORD has not chosen this one, either.”Then Jesse presented Shammah. But Samuel said,“ The LORD has not chosen this one either.”Jesse presented seven of his sons to Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse,“ The LORD has not chosen any of these.”Then Samuel said to Jesse,“ Is that all of the young men?” Jesse replied,“ There is still the youngest one, but he’s taking care of the flock.” Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send and get him, for we cannot turn our attention to other things until he comes here.”So Jesse had him brought in. Now he was ruddy, with attractive eyes and a handsome appearance. The LORD said,“ Go and anoint him. This is the one!”So Samuel took the horn full of olive oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers. The Spirit of the LORD rushed upon David from that day onward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah.

Then all the people came and encouraged David to eat food while it was still day. But David took an oath saying,“ God will punish me severely if I taste bread or anything whatsoever before the sun sets!”

Say to Amasa,‘ Are you not my flesh and blood? God will punish me severely, if from this time on you are not the commander of my army in place of Joab!’”

Eli said,“ What message did he speak to you? Don’t conceal it from me. God will judge you severely if you conceal from me anything that he said to you!”

Once and for all I have vowed by my own holiness, I will never deceive David.His dynasty will last forever. His throne will endure before me, like the sun,it will remain stable, like the moon, his throne will endure like the skies.”( Selah)

The LORD said,“ I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have made a promise on oath to David, my servant:‘ I will give you an eternal dynasty and establish your throne throughout future generations.’”( Selah)

God will severely punish David, if I leave alive until morning even one male from all those who belong to him!”

Then you spoke through a vision to your faithful followers and said:“ I have energized a warrior; I have raised up a young man from the people.I have discovered David, my servant. With my holy oil I have anointed him as king.
