我、我雖然受膏為王，今日還是柔弱；洗魯雅的兒子這些人比我強；願永恆主照惡人所行的壞事報應行壞事的人就是了。』

我雖然被膏立為王，今天卻軟弱；這些人——洗魯雅的兒子們強硬得令我作難。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡，報應惡人！」

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、此洗魯雅之子、逼我太甚、願耶和華依惡人之惡而報之、

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、而西魯雅之二子、桀驁不馴、願耶和華視惡人之罪戾、而報施焉。

我始受膏為王、今尚荏弱、此西魯雅二子強於我、願主循惡人所行之惡而報之、

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

I’m the anointed king. But today I’m weak. These sons of Zeruiah are too powerful for me. May the Lord pay back the one who killed Abner! May he pay him back for the evil thing he has done!”

And I was gentle today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I. The Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!”

And even though I am the anointed king, these two sons of Zeruiah— Joab and Abishai— are too strong for me to control. So may the Lord repay these evil men for their evil deeds.”

As for me, even though I am the anointed king, I have little power today. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too fierce for me. May the LORD repay the evildoer according to his evil!”

And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too difficult for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer in proportion to his evil.”

And I[ am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah[ be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

故此，流這二人血的罪必歸到約押和他後裔的頭上，直到永遠；惟有大衛和他的後裔，並他的家與國，必從耶和華那裏得平安，直到永遠。」於是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅上去，將約押殺死，葬在曠野約押自己的墳墓裏。

我每日早晨要滅絕國中所有的惡人，好把一切作孽的從耶和華的城裏剪除。

銅匠亞歷山大多多地害我；主必照他所行的報應他。

願你按着他們所做的，並他們所行的惡事待他們。願你照着他們手所做的待他們，將他們所應得的報應加給他們。

你知道洗魯雅的兒子約押向我所行的，就是殺了以色列的兩個元帥：尼珥的兒子押尼珥和益帖的兒子亞瑪撒。他在太平之時流這二人的血，如在爭戰之時一樣，將這血染了腰間束的帶和腳上穿的鞋。所以你要照你的智慧行，不容他白頭安然下陰間。

大衛說：「我兒子所羅門還年幼嬌嫩，要為耶和華建造的殿宇必須高大輝煌，使名譽榮耀傳遍萬國；所以我要為殿預備材料。」於是，大衛在未死之先預備的材料甚多。

王坐在審判的位上，以眼目驅散諸惡。

約押進去見王，說：「你今日使你一切僕人臉面慚愧了！他們今日救了你的性命和你兒女妻妾的性命，你卻愛那恨你的人，恨那愛你的人。你今日明明地不以將帥、僕人為念。我今日看明，若押沙龍活着，我們都死亡，你就喜悅了。現在你當出去，安慰你僕人的心。我指着耶和華起誓：你若不出去，今夜必無一人與你同在一處；這禍患就比你從幼年到如今所遭的更甚！」

對他們說：「你們辦事應當謹慎；因為你們判斷不是為人，乃是為耶和華。判斷的時候，他必與你們同在。現在你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹慎辦事；因為耶和華－我們的神沒有不義，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。」

對他說：『你要謹慎安靜，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的烈怒害怕，也不要心裏膽怯。

也要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉嗎？我若不立你替約押常作元帥，願神重重地降罰與我！』」

因為他是神的用人，是與你有益的。你若作惡，卻當懼怕，因為他不是空空地佩劍；他是神的用人，是伸冤的，刑罰那作惡的。

惡人一切的角，我要砍斷；惟有義人的角必被高舉。

主啊，慈愛也是屬乎你，因為你照着各人所行的報應他。

他的毒害必臨到他自己的頭上；他的強暴必落到他自己的腦袋上。

「打人以致打死的，必要把他治死。

六子阿鮮，七子大衛。他們的姊妹是洗魯雅和亞比該。洗魯雅的兒子是亞比篩、約押、亞撒黑，共三人。

除去王面前的惡人，國位就靠公義堅立。
