我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、此洗魯雅之子、逼我太甚、願耶和華依惡人之惡而報之、

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、而西魯雅之二子、桀驁不馴、願耶和華視惡人之罪戾、而報施焉。

我始受膏為王、今尚荏弱、此西魯雅二子強於我、願主循惡人所行之惡而報之、

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

I’m the anointed king. But today I’m weak. These sons of Zeruiah are too powerful for me. May the Lord pay back the one who killed Abner! May he pay him back for the evil thing he has done!”

And I was gentle today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I. The Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!”

And even though I am the anointed king, these two sons of Zeruiah— Joab and Abishai— are too strong for me to control. So may the Lord repay these evil men for their evil deeds.”

As for me, even though I am the anointed king, I have little power today. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too fierce for me. May the LORD repay the evildoer according to his evil!”

And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too difficult for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer in proportion to his evil.”

And I[ am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah[ be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

Today I am weak, even though I am anointed as king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too much for me to bear! May the LORD punish appropriately the one who has done this evil thing!”

每個清晨，我都要除盡地上的一切惡人，為要從耶和華的城中剪除一切作惡者。

銅匠亞歷山大對我做了很多惡事；主將照著他的行為回報他。

求你照著他們的作為，照著他們所行的邪惡對待他們；求你照著他們手所做的對待他們，把他們應得的報應加給他們！

王坐在審判的寶座上，以自己的眼目分辨出一切惡事。

約押進屋見王，說：「你今天使你的所有臣僕滿面羞愧了！今天是他們救了你的性命、你兒女的性命、你妃嬪的性命。你卻愛恨你的人，而恨那些愛你的。你今天實在表明了，首領們和臣僕們對你不算什麼。我今天看明了，如果押沙龍活著，而我們大家都死了，你就高興了。「現在，你要起來，出去對你的臣僕們說話安撫他們的心。我指著耶和華起誓：如果你不出去，今夜就沒有人留下來與你在一起了——這將比你從年幼到現在所遭受的一切災禍更嚴重。」

對他說：『你要謹慎，保持鎮靜，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子發烈怒而害怕，也不要因這兩個冒煙的火把殘頭而心裡膽怯。

也要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉之親嗎？我如果不立你在我面前作元帥，終身替代約押，就願神處置我，重重地處置我！』」

要知道，他是神的僕役，對你是有益處的。但你如果作惡，就該懼怕，因為他不是毫無理由的佩帶刀劍。他是神的僕役，是報應者，使震怒臨到作惡的人。

神說：「惡人一切的角，我將砍斷；而義人的角，必被高舉。」

主啊，慈愛也在於你，因為你照著各人所做的回報他。

他的禍患將歸到自己的頭上，他的殘暴將落在自己的頭頂。

除掉王面前的惡人，王的寶座就藉著公義而堅立。
