我雖然被膏立為王，今天卻軟弱；這些人——洗魯雅的兒子們強硬得令我作難。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡，報應惡人！」

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、此洗魯雅之子、逼我太甚、願耶和華依惡人之惡而報之、

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、而西魯雅之二子、桀驁不馴、願耶和華視惡人之罪戾、而報施焉。

我始受膏為王、今尚荏弱、此西魯雅二子強於我、願主循惡人所行之惡而報之、

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

I’m the anointed king. But today I’m weak. These sons of Zeruiah are too powerful for me. May the Lord pay back the one who killed Abner! May he pay him back for the evil thing he has done!”

And I was gentle today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I. The Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!”

And even though I am the anointed king, these two sons of Zeruiah— Joab and Abishai— are too strong for me to control. So may the Lord repay these evil men for their evil deeds.”

As for me, even though I am the anointed king, I have little power today. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too fierce for me. May the LORD repay the evildoer according to his evil!”

And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too difficult for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer in proportion to his evil.”

And I[ am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah[ be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

願流這二人的血的罪歸到約押和他後裔的頭上，直到永遠；但大衛和他的後裔，他的家和他的國卻要從耶和華那裡得享平安，直到永遠。”於是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅上去擊殺他，把他殺死，葬在曠野約押自己的家中。

我每日早晨必滅絕國中所有的惡人，好把所有作孽的人都從耶和華的城裡剪除。

銅匠亞歷山大作了許多惡事陷害我，主必按著他所行的報應他。

願你按著他們所作的，照著他們所行的惡報應他們；願你照著他們手所作的報應他們，把他們應得的報應加給他們。

你也要知道洗魯雅的兒子約押對我所行的，就是對以色列的兩個元帥：尼珥的兒子押尼珥和益帖的兒子亞瑪撒所行的。他殺了他們，在和平的時候流他們的血，像作戰時一樣，把戰爭的血染在他腰間所束的帶子上和腳上所穿的鞋子上。所以你要憑你的智慧而行，不要讓他白髮到老，平平安安下到陰間。

大衛把他的兒子所羅門召了來，吩咐他要為耶和華以色列的神建造殿宇。

君王坐在審判的位上，他的眼目查察一切惡事。

約押進了屋子去見王，說：“你所有的臣僕今天救了你的性命，和你兒女妻妾的性命，你今天卻使他們滿面羞愧；你愛那些恨你的，恨那些愛你的。因為你今天表明了你不重視將帥和臣僕；我今天才明白，如果押沙龍活著，我們大家都死去，你就歡喜了。現在請你起來，出去，說些安慰你僕人們的話。我指著耶和華起誓，如果你不出去，今夜就必沒有一人留下來與你在一起。這禍患就比你從幼年到現在所遭受的一切禍患更厲害了。”

他對他們說：“你們行事，必須謹慎；因為你們審判，不是為人，而是為耶和華；你們審判的時候，耶和華必和你們同在。現在你們要敬畏耶和華；你們要謹慎行事，因為耶和華我們的神沒有不義，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。”

對他說：‘你要謹慎，要鎮定，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的怒氣而害怕，也不要心裡膽怯。

你們又要對亞瑪撒說：‘你不是我的骨肉至親嗎？我若不立你代替約押，在我面前作軍隊的元帥，願神重重地懲罰我，並且加倍嚴厲地懲罰我。’”

因為他是神的僕役，是對你有益的。但如果你作惡，就應當懼怕；因為他佩劍，不是沒有作用的。他是神的僕役，是向作惡的人施行刑罰的。

所有惡人的角，我都要砍斷，只有義人的角必被高舉。

主啊！慈愛也屬於你，你必照各人所作的報應各人。

他的惡毒必回到自己的頭上，他的強暴必落在自己的頭頂上。

“打人以致把人打死的，必要把那人處死。

六子阿鮮、七子大衛。他們的姊妹是洗魯雅和亞比該。洗魯雅的兒子是亞比篩、約押和亞撒黑，共三人。

除去君王面前的壞人，他的王位就可以靠公義堅立。
