The king sang this lament for Abner:“ Should Abner have died as the lawless die?

King David sang a song of sadness over Abner. He said,“ Should Abner have died as sinful people do?

And the king lamented for Abner, saying,“ Should Abner die as a fool dies?

Then the king sang this funeral song for Abner:“ Should Abner have died as fools die?

and the king sang a lament for Abner: Should Abner die as a fool dies?

And the king sang a song of mourning for Abner and said,“ Should Abner die as a fool dies?

And the king sang a lament over Abner and said:“ Should Abner die as a fool dies?

and the king sang a lament for Abner: Should Abner die as a fool dies?

And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?

The king chanted the following lament for Abner:“ Should Abner have died like a fool?

The king lamented for Abner, and said,“ Should Abner die as a fool dies?

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.And I, whither shall I carry my shame? and as for thee, thou wilt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son

And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon, then kill him; fear not; have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

As the partridge that sitteth on eggs which she hath not laid, so is he that getteth riches, and not by right; in the midst of his days they shall leave him, and at his end he shall be a fool.

And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations unto this day; and they made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?

Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so will it happen even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then said I in my heart, that this also is vanity.For of the wise man, even as of the fool, there is no remembrance for ever; seeing that in the days to come all will have been long forgotten. And how doth the wise man die even as the fool!

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.
