约押和他全家要承担这罪，愿他的后代永远有长疮的、患皮肤病的、拄拐杖的、被刀剑所杀的或挨饿的。”

愿这流人血的罪归到约押的头上和他父亲的全家！又愿约押家不断有患血漏病的、长痲风的、拿拐杖的、倒毙在剑下的和缺乏粮食的。”

願流他血的罪歸到約押頭上和他父的全家；又願約押家不斷有患漏症的，長大痲瘋的，架柺而行的，被刀殺死的，缺乏飲食的。」

願這流人血的罪歸到約押的頭上和他父親的全家！又願約押家不斷有患血漏病的、長痲風的、拿拐杖的、倒斃在劍下的和缺乏糧食的。”

願這罪責盤旋在約押頭上、和他父系全家；又願約押家不斷有患漏症的、患痲瘋屬之病的、架柺而行的、倒斃於刀下的、缺乏食物的。』

願這罪歸到約押的頭上以及他父親的全家，願約押家不斷有患漏症的、患痲瘋的、拄拐杖的、倒在刀下的和缺乏食物的！」

願歸約押之首、與其父全家、願約押家、或患白濁、或患癩疾、或扶杖而行、或隕沒於刃、或乏食、歷世不絕其人、

罪歸約押、與其父家、願約押全家、或患白濁、或患癩疾、或扶杖而行、或殞沒於刃、或飲食匱乏、代有其人、相繼不絕。

流其血之罪、歸約押首、及其父之全家、願約押家患白濁者、有癩疾者、扶杖而行者、亡於刃者、匱乏飲食者、恆有不絕、

May his blood fall on the head of Joab and on his whole family! May Joab’s family never be without someone who has a running sore or leprosy or who leans on a crutch or who falls by the sword or who lacks food.”

May Joab and his whole family line be held accountable for spilling Abner’s blood! May Joab’s family never be without someone who has an open sore or skin disease. May his family never be without someone who has to use a crutch to walk. May his family never be without someone who gets killed by a sword. And may his family never be without someone who doesn’t have enough to eat.”

May it fall upon the head of Joab and upon all his father’s house, and may the house of Joab never be without one who has a discharge or who is leprous or who holds a spindle or who falls by the sword or who lacks bread!”

Joab and his family are the guilty ones. May the family of Joab be cursed in every generation with a man who has open sores or leprosy or who walks on crutches or dies by the sword or begs for food!”

May it hang over Joab’s head and his father’s whole family, and may the house of Joab never be without someone who has a discharge or a skin disease, or a man who can only work a spindle, or someone who falls by the sword or starves.”

May it turn upon the head of Joab and on all his father’s house; and may there not be eliminated from the house of Joab someone who suffers a discharge, or has leprosy, or holds the spindle, or falls by the sword, or lacks bread.”

Let it rest on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house; and let there never fail to be in the house of Joab one who has a discharge or is a leper, who leans on a staff or falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.”

Let them be sought from their ruins.Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

he is a leprous man. He is unclean. The priest shall surely pronounce him unclean. His plague is on his head.“ The leper in whom the plague is shall wear torn clothes, and the hair of his head shall hang loose. He shall cover his upper lip, and shall cry,‘ Unclean! Unclean!’All the days in which the plague is in him he shall be unclean. He is unclean. He shall dwell alone. His dwelling shall be outside of the camp.

For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”

that the violence done to the seventy sons of Jerubbaal might come, and that their blood might be laid on Abimelech their brother who killed them, and on the men of Shechem who strengthened his hands to kill his brothers.

The king said to him,“ Do as he has said, and fall on him, and bury him; that you may take away the blood, which Joab shed without cause, from me and from my father’s house.Yahweh will return his blood on his own head, because he fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, and my father David didn’t know it: Abner the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.So their blood will return on the head of Joab, and on the head of his offspring forever. But for David, for his offspring, for his house, and for his throne, there will be peace forever from Yahweh.”Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and fell on him, and killed him; and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.

You will see the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which I will give Israel. There shall not be an old man in your house forever.The man of yours whom I don’t cut off from my altar will consume your eyes and grieve your heart. All the increase of your house will die in the flower of their age.This will be the sign to you that will come on your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they will both die.I will raise up a faithful priest for myself who will do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind. I will build him a sure house. He will walk before my anointed forever.It will happen that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and will say,“ Please put me into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”

Therefore the leprosy of Naaman will cling to you and to your offspring forever.” He went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.

Thus God repaid the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did to his father in killing his seventy brothers;and God repaid all the wickedness of the men of Shechem on their heads; and the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came on them.

Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him Yahweh had given victory to Syria: he was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them,‘ When any man has a discharge from his body, because of his discharge he is unclean.

When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another,“ No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.”
