Now when Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into an inner chamber, as if to speak with him privately. And there, to avenge the blood of his brother Asahel, Joab stabbed him in the stomach, and he died.

你也要知道洗鲁雅的儿子约押对我所行的，就是对以色列的两个元帅：尼珥的儿子押尼珥和益帖的儿子亚玛撒所行的。他杀了他们，在和平的时候流他们的血，像作战时一样，把战争的血染在他腰间所束的带子上和脚上所穿的鞋子上。

约押对亚玛撒说：“我的兄弟，你好吗？”约押用右手握住亚玛撒的胡子，要与他亲吻。亚玛撒没有防备约押手中的刀，约押用这刀刺进他的肚子，他的内脏就流在地上。不用再刺第二刀，亚玛撒就死了。约押和他的兄弟亚比筛继续追赶比基利的儿子示巴。

耶和华必使约押流无辜人的血的罪归到他自己头上，因为他击杀了两个比他又公义又良善的人，就是用刀杀了以色列的元帅尼珥的儿子押尼珥，和犹大的元帅益帖的儿子亚玛撒，这事我的父亲大卫一点都不知道。

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的那十个人就起来，用刀袭击沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王指派管理那地的，把他杀掉。

“‘暗中杀害邻舍的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利从米斯巴出来迎接他们，边走边哭，遇见了他们，就对他们说：“请你们来见亚希甘的儿子基大利！”他们到了城中，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的人，就把他们杀了，扔在坑里。

亚撒黑追赶押尼珥，紧紧地跟着他，不偏左，也不偏右。押尼珥往后瞧着，说：“你是亚撒黑吗？”他回答：“我正是。”押尼珥对他说：“你或转左或转右，抓住一个年轻人，夺去他的武器吧！”可是亚撒黑不愿意离开不追赶他。押尼珥再一次对亚撒黑说：“你离开，别追赶我！我为什么要把你砍倒在地上呢？以后怎么还有脸见你的哥哥约押呢？”亚撒黑不肯离开，所以押尼珥就用枪的尾端刺入了他的肚子，枪从他的背后穿出。亚撒黑仆倒在那里，当场死了。所有来到亚撒黑倒毙的地方的人，都站住不动。
