法利賽人說：「難道你們也被迷惑了嗎？

但亞捫人的首領對他們的主哈嫩說：「你以為大衛是尊敬你父親，所以派人來安慰你嗎？大衛派遣臣僕來見你，難道不是為了探查這城，好窺探、傾覆它嗎？」

人群中有許多人對他議論紛紛；有的說：「他是好人。」也有的說：「不，他是迷惑民眾的。」

約瑟想起從前做過的那些關於他們的夢，就對他們說：「你們是奸細，是來窺探本地虛實的。」

約瑟卻對他們說：「不，你們實在是為了窺探本地的虛實而來。」

哦，人哪，所以你是無法推諉的！一切評斷人的啊，你在什麼事上評斷別人，就在什麼事上定自己的罪；因為你這評斷人的，你自己也在做同樣的事。
