約押聽後，就去見王，說：「你這做的是什麼事？押尼珥來見你，你為什麼放他走呢？

約押就進去見王說：『你幹了甚麼事了？你看，押尼珥來見你，你為甚麼把他送走，讓他走掉了呢？

約押來見王，說：「你做了什麼呢？看哪，押尼珥來見你，你為什麼把他送走呢？他竟然離開了！

約押詣王曰、爾何所為、押尼珥來見、奚為遣之、而彼已去、

約押見王曰、王果何為。押尼耳至此、爾遣之去、曷故。

約押入見王曰、王果何為、押尼珥至此、爾何遣之去耶、

So Joab went to the king and said,“ What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why did you let him go? Now he is gone!

Then Joab went to the king and said,“ What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, so that he is gone?

Joab rushed to the king and demanded,“ What have you done? What do you mean by letting Abner get away?

So Joab went to the king and said,“ What have you done? Abner has come to you! Why would you send him away? Now he’s gone on his way!

Then Joab went into the house to the king and said,“ Today you have humiliated all your men, who have just saved your life and the lives of your sons and daughters and the lives of your wives and concubines.You love those who hate you and hate those who love you. You have made it clear today that the commanders and their men mean nothing to you. I see that you would be pleased if Absalom were alive today and all of us were dead.Now go out and encourage your men. I swear by the Lord that if you don’t go out, not a man will be left with you by nightfall. This will be worse for you than all the calamities that have come on you from your youth till now.” (niv)

Abner was very angry because of what Ish- Bosheth said. So he answered,“ Am I a dog’s head— on Judah’s side? This very day I am loyal to the house of your father Saul and to his family and friends. I haven’t handed you over to David. Yet now you accuse me of an offense involving this woman! (niv)

Balak said to Balaam,“ What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them!” (niv)

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!” (niv)
