Now do it! For the Lord promised David,‘ By my servant David I will rescue my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and from the hand of all their enemies.’”

Now do it! The Lord made a promise to David. He said,‘ I will rescue my people Israel from the power of the Philistines. I will also rescue them from all their enemies. I will rescue them through my servant David.’ ”

Now then bring it about, for the Lord has promised David, saying,‘ By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines, and from the hand of all their enemies.’”

『明天大約這時候、我要打發一個人從便雅憫地來見你，你要膏立他為人君來管理我人民以色列；他必拯救我人民脫離非利士人的手，因為我人民的困苦我已經看見了；他們的哀叫已經上達於我了。』

在那裏我必給大衛生起一個角來；我已為我所膏立的安排了燈光。我必使他的仇敵披上羞辱；但他的冠冕必在他頭上發光。』

耶西就打發人去領他來：他臉色赤紅：雙目清秀，丰采俊美。永恆主說：『這一個就是了；你起來膏他。』撒母耳就拿了油角，在他哥哥們中間膏了他；從那一天起、永恆主的靈就大大感動大衛。於是撒母耳起身、往拉瑪去了。

永恆主對撒母耳說：『我棄絕了掃羅做以色列的王，你為他悲傷要到幾時呢？把你的角盛滿了膏油吧！來，我差遣你到伯利恆人耶西那裏去，因為我在他的兒子當中已經看定了一個作王的。』

雖然如此，就是議員中也有許多信耶穌的；只因法利賽人的緣故、未嘗承認罷了，怕從會堂裏被革除。因為他們愛由人來的榮耀，不愛由上帝來的榮耀。

當時你在異象中對你堅貞之民說：『我已經給一個英雄加了冕；我舉起了一位從民間所揀選的。我尋得了我的僕人大衛，用我的聖膏膏了他；我的手堅堅定定和他同在；我的膀臂也必使他堅固。仇敵不能以欺騙襲擊他，橫暴之輩不能苦害他。我必從他面前擊碎他的敵人，在他眼前擊敗那恨他的人。

但現在你的王位必立不住了；永恆主已經為自己找到一個合他心意的人；永恆主已經委任他做人君來管理他的人民，因為你沒有遵守永恆主所吩咐你的。』
