王却说：“不可，我一定要出钱买，我不愿意用白白得来之物作为燔祭献给我的上帝耶和华。”大卫就用六百克银子买了亚劳拿的麦场和牛。

王回答亚劳拿：“不！我一定要按价钱向你买，我不要用白白得来的作燔祭献给耶和华我的神。”于是大卫用五百七十克银子，买下了那打禾场和牛。

王曰、不然、我必依其值而購之、不費財之燔祭、我不欲獻於我上帝耶和華、於是大衛以金五十舍客勒、購禾場與牛、

王曰、不然、我欲購之、以償其值、不欲不費貲財、而獻燔祭、奉吾之上帝耶和華。於是大闢以金二十有五、購穀場與牛。

王謂亞勞拿曰、不然、我欲購之、必以其值予爾、我不欲以不費而得之物、獻火焚祭於主我之天主、大衛遂以銀五十舍客勒購禾場與牛、

But the king replied to Araunah,“ No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them.

But the king replied to Araunah,“ No. I want to pay you for it. I won’t sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that haven’t cost me anything.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen. He paid 20 ounces of silver for them.

But the king said to Araunah,“ No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

But the king replied to Araunah,“ No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing.” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen.

The king answered Araunah,“ No, I insist on buying it from you for a price, for I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for twenty ounces of silver.

Then the king said to Araunah,“ No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will verily buy it of thee at a price. Neither will I offer burnt- offerings unto Jehovah my God which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing- floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

The king answered Araunah,“ No, I insist on buying it from you for a price, for I will not offer to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for 20 ounces of silver.

And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy[ it] of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

But the king said to Araunah,“ No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.

The king said to Araunah,“ No; but I will most certainly buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to Yahweh my God which cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

Nevertheless, King David said to Ornan,“ No, but I will certainly buy it for the full price; for I will not take what is yours for the Lord, nor offer a burnt offering which costs me nothing.”So David gave Ornan six hundred shekels of gold by weight for the site.

But he spoke to Ephron so that the people of the land heard, saying,“ If you will only please listen to me; I will give the price of the field, accept it from me so that I may bury my dead there.”

“ But you are profaning it by your saying,‘ The table of the Lord is defiled, and as for its fruit, its food is to be despised.’You also say,‘ See, how tiresome it is!’ And you view it as trivial,” says the Lord of armies,“ and you bring what was taken by robbery and what is lame or sick; so you bring the offering! Should I accept it from your hand?” says the Lord.“ But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King,” says the Lord of armies,“ and My name is feared among the nations.”

Never repay evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all people.

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
